To truly indulge the senses, retreat to the Elixir Beauty Spa, one of the largest on the island. Facilities here include an indoor heated pool with hydromassage areas, a whirlpool tub, a sauna and a beauty salon.
If you’re feel energetic, take full advantage of the 24-hour fitness centre and the free exercise which include morning gymnastics sessions, aqua-gym, aerobics and yoga classes. Otherwise you can play beach volleyball and soccer, explore the destination on a mountain bike and strike up a tennis match at one of two floodlit courts.
Younger family members are well catered for, too, with an on-site playground, kids’ pool, water slides and exciting activities programme. At Grecokids, children between the ages of 4 and 6 years can enjoy supervised water activities, cooking lessons, environmental days and organic gardening. Children between 7 and 12 years can spend time at the GrecoJuniors club, taking part in team games, organised sports and arts and crafts activities. There’s also the seasonal GrecoTeens club, hosting activities and social events exclusively for teenagers. The Summer Camp operates in the high season, so kids can further enjoy the Valencia football school, make-up courses, cooking lessons and inline skating sessions.

Grecotel Creta Palace presents varied dining experiences, from a la carte restaurants to casual dining at the quirky Greek coffee house. Labyrinth is the resort’s main restaurant, providing buffet breakfasts, lunches and dinners on an open-air veranda which faces scenic gardens. Dishes are inspired by international and Mediterranean flavours, and the menu includes vegetarian and vegan options. Barbarossa serves fresh fish and seafood overlooking the lovely beach, whilst Golden Dragon specialises in Asian cuisine with a modern twist. Don’t miss Kafenion The Beautiful Hellas, an authentic Greek coffee house which has been transported from a nearby village. They serve a selection of local drinks and traditional mezze dishes. For supreme sunset views, light bites and designer cocktails, go to Zeus + Amalthia – the chic, blue-lit sky bar that overlooks the Cretan Sea. There’s also a stylish all-day brasserie, an intimate lounge bar and a beach bar on the property.
If you’re staying on half board, you’ll be entitled to breakfast and dinner at the main buffet restaurant and free kids’ dining for children up to the age of 12 years. For complete peace of mind, you can also purchase the Comfort All-In package locally, which includes daily snacks and selected drinks in designated areas by the beach and pool, dinner with a selection of desserts and drinks (a choice of two sittings is offered), cold snacks at selected stations, and drinks at the Lobby Bar – including select alcoholic drinks. Please note a la carte restaurants are not included in the Comfort All-In Package, except for one dinner in Barbarossa or Golden Dragon, with a stay of seven nights or more.
