Other facilities
The outdoor pools are the resort’s main focal point. There are two large saltwater pools, including one with a water slide, and two kids’ pools. You’ll also find a heated freshwater pool indoors. Sun loungers, umbrellas and pool towels are available by the pools or on the beach.
Children can play on the manicured lawns and open-air playgrounds or hang out at the kids’ club. Supervisors entertain children between the ages of 4 and 12 here with daily competitions, games and activities, and the club also provides a kids’ buffet and hosts mini discos during the evening.
Adults are catered for, too, with a well-equipped fitness centre, two tennis courts and a sauna. The whole family can spend time in the games room, play mini-golf or water games and watch live performances at the on-site amphitheatre. Water sports are on offer at the beach and staff can organise local excursions for a supplementary charge.
Dining information
Aldemar Knossos Royal offers five restaurants and four bars. The main restaurant serves buffet-style dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and hosts two theme nights each week. You can choose from a range of salads, appetisers, main courses and desserts, and the children's buffet restaurant next door offers a selection of child-friendly meals.
At lunchtime, dine beside the sea at the casual Beach Restaurant, or stop by the snack bar for light bites, ice creams and drinks. You can also relish a coffee and pastry at Manitari bar. For dinner, sample authentic Cretan dishes from the a la carte menu at Artemis Taverna, or reserve a table at Fontana Amorosa, where you can dine al fresco on gourmet Mediterranean cuisine.
