Overview

Set in the heart of the stunning Tuscan capital, the hotel is found in Piazza della Repubblica, a historic square lined with cafes, restaurants and shops. From here, the Duomo is a mere 350-metre stroll north, and Ponte Vecchio is in equal distance south of the hotel. The Uffizi Gallery, home to Botticelli’s The Birth of Venus, among numerous other iconic works, is also roughly 350 metres away, while a one-mile wander takes you to Piazzale Michelangelo where you can spy unforgettable views of Florence. Florence Airport is just under seven miles away.
Styled by Olga Polizzi, Rocco Forte’s director of design, this hotel is a chic one. Accommodation comprises Superior, Premium and Deluxe Rooms, as well as Junior and Junior Deluxe Suites. All feature a mix of antique and contemporary furniture and pale parquet flooring. Superior Rooms feature orange and crimson-coloured Italian fabrics, while others have shades of grey and gold, or sage. Upgrading to a Premium Room grants a Carrara marble bathroom, and Deluxe Rooms offer a little extra space, as do Junior Suites, which also offer an extra modern twist on the Tuscan-inspired decor scheme. The most luxurious stay is found in a Junior Deluxe Suite, offering a glamorous separate living area, and some providing double washbasins or bathtubs in marble bathrooms.

The fifth floor is home to a spa suite, where treatments have been created with products from internationally renowned Florentine shop, Officina Profumo-Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella.
