Spanning 40-acres of luscious gardens, the internationally acclaimed Elounda Beach Hotel & Villas overlooks Mirabello Bay. Sat on the coast of north-western Crete, the hotel looks out to Mirabello Bay. It is located in the laid-back town of Elounda, six miles north from the lively town of Agios Nikolaos. The village of Plaka is eight miles away, where you can catch the ferry to the mysterious Spinalonga Island, visible from the resort. Heraklion Airport is 40 miles away.
A huge variety of accommodation is found here, starting from classic rooms, located in the main building, all the way to waterfront bungalows and private standalone villas. The broad range of décor varies across and between categories. Some accommodation features a more traditional look, with warm coloured walls, dark wooden furniture and the occasional painted ceiling; and others are more modern, with bright white and grey tones. Villas are predominantly located on the west of the resort, further from the main building, though closer to the beach. Many offer private pools, and Hideaway Villas also have private gardens. Meanwhile, Family Villas provide three bedrooms, each with their own en suite. Located directly in front of the sea, Wellness Island Suites, Ambassador Bungalow Suites, Premium Junior Suite Private Pool and Presidential Bungalow Suite Private Pool accommodation each feature direct access to the sea, and uninterrupted sea views.

Relax in the large seawater pool, overlooking the sea, surrounded by olive trees. Otherwise, head to the blue and white umbrella-lined sandy beaches and seemingly endless gardens.
For the active-inclined, there are no less than five tennis courts, as well as a volleyball and badminton court, water sports, including wakeboarding and jet skis, a diving centre and daily fitness programmes. Family-friendly activities include open-air shows and daily animation with creative activities and competitions.
The penthouse Elounda Beach Spa uses comes with 20 treatment rooms and both outdoor and indoor pools. Combining the principles of ancient Chinese medicine with the latest technology, the spa has four departments, specialising in medical, heat, aesthetic and wellness therapies. This seriously comprehensive treatment list includes health consultations, acupuncture, hydro-aromatherapy, massages, scrubs, LED treatments, facials, manicures and pedicures, alongside fitness classes and personal training – programmes combine a targeted combination of treatments.
Dining information
Open for a breakfast overlooking the pool, Artemis offers buffet classics, with eggs to order and Greek twists. Cretan cuisine is on the menu for lunch and dinner in a Greek village square setting at Kafenion, and Argonaut serves light bites during the day and Italian delights at dinner. Fine dining is found at Dionysos, where dinner specials include octopus confit and risotto with Cretan mushrooms; and a blend of Japanese and Peruvian flavours abound at Blue Lagoon Restaurant & Sushi Bar.
A beach and pool bar offer refreshments throughout the day. In the evenings, Lito Lounge serves drinks with live piano music, and Veghera Bar provides sunset views and cocktails into the early hours.
