Make the most of the hotel’s quaint beach. Lounge under a tiki umbrella on the terrace and admire the cascading cliffsides on the horizon. Changing cabins and showers are also at your disposal for extra comfort. If you can tear yourself away, head to the infinity pool, where all three levels offer prime views of Mirabello Bay. More relaxation awaits at the BLUE Spa. Bask in the indoor heated pool, unwind in the sauna and steam bath or cool off at the ice fountain after a busy day poolside. There is also a selection of massages, facials and manicures. The Cretan Herbs Experience uses Dictamnus and sage to soothe your senses. In addition, the spa hosts a gym with cross trainers, exercise bikes and treadmills.

You can play a quick match at the tennis court – or perfect your serve with an instructor (at an extra cost). Otherwise, discover the natural surroundings on one of the many hiking paths. When you return in the evening, there is plenty of entertainment – from Greek nights with Syrtaki dancing to beach parties and decadent lobster feasts.

Dining information

The Gourmet Main Restaurant features an all-day buffet with indoor and outdoor seating by the pool. Start the day with pastries, fresh fruit and rich coffee, or indulge with smoked salmon, poached eggs and champagne – you are on holiday after all. Lunch and dinner bring pastas and salads – all of which come with a side of sea views. Speaking of coastal vistas, Mirabello Restaurant spoils you with bay views across all three levels. Their delicious Mediterranean dishes include Cretan seabass and lobster. If you’re craving more Greek cuisine, head to Symposium. Here you can enjoy orzo pasta with prawns, whilst surrounded by olive trees and fairy lights. Meanwhile, Chef’s Grill tempts you with barbecue bites, like tomahawk steaks and Rethymnian pork sausages, next door to St. George’s Chapel. Private dining and in-room dining is also available if you’re after some alone time.

For a range of refreshments, the Beach Bar has you covered during the day with sandwiches and cocktails. Order the aptly named Summer Spritz cocktail, which is made with prosecco, mastiha, tangerine and basil leaves. There are also sweet smoothies and juices, as well as ouzo on offer – if you’re after something with more kick. As the evening sets in, Cocktails & Dreams is the place to go. Sit on the open-air terrace with a Chardonnay in hand as you admire sea views. Alternatively, head to the Lobby Bar for mint and lime sodas and a taste of Cretan wines.

Please note that Mirabello Restaurant, Symposium and Chef’s Grill all require reservations. Chef’s Grill is closed every Thursday.
