Novotel Sharm El Sheikh Beach Wing is a smart, family-friendly property, situated on a beautiful stretch of private, sandy beach. It offers five outdoor pools, a spa and fitness centre, and an Italian a la carte restaurant, as well as a buffet restaurant for all-inclusive dining. Family facilities include a kids’ club, a multipurpose playground, a large kids’ pool with a climbing frame and slides and specially prepared children’s menus (available in the buffet restaurant).
The resort is located on the southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula, between the turquoise waters of the Red Sea and the mountains of Sinai. It’s surrounded by beautifully manicured gardens, intersected by El Salam (or Peace Road), leading directly to the cafes, restaurants, shops and bazaars of bustling Naama Bay. Just over five miles away is the Old Market – a must-see attraction and a paradise for shoppers. The unspoiled natural beauty of Ras Mohammed National Park is just over 18 miles away. It’s undeniably beautiful and a huge draw for divers to witness the crystal-clear underwater world, teeming with colourful coral reefs and tropical fish. Sharm El Sheikh International Airport is under seven miles away.
Accommodation is immaculately presented, housed in Arabic-inspired, low-rise, whitewashed buildings. They are styled using rich, earthy tones with a liberal use of light, natural wood. Floors are tiled using a harlequin pattern; the lights are adorned with Moroccan-style lamp shades. Standard facilities include a minibar, tea and coffee making facilities, a flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi. There’s a small but perfectly comfortable seating area, in addition to a furnished balcony or terrace overlooking the gardens, pool or beach. Beach Wing rooms are positioned on the south side of the complex, benefitting from direct access to the private sandy beach.

It’ll be easy to find your spot around the pool as the hotel has five of them to choose from, including a superb kids’ pool fitted with slides and water buckets. The kids’ club welcomes children from 4 to 12 years old, offering a variety of activities from handicrafts, pool and beach games, accrobranching, roller skating, drawing and painting and circus school. There’s also a daily mini disco held in the pool bar area.
The on-site gym is open every day, equipped with cardiovascular machines and weights, plus you have access to a volleyball and football area, table tennis, aerobics and evening entertainment. Or head to the beach for water sports, including parasailing, glass bottom boat rides and pedal boats (extra charge). There’s also a spa for massages (extra charge) and a hammam.
Dining information
Coral Restaurant is located by the beach and is the hotel’s main buffet restaurant. It’s open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as late dinner up until midnight for those preferring a bite to eat later in the day. It serves international cuisine and is host to themed nights. The Al Dente a la carte restaurant overlooks the sea and serves Italian favourites at dinner (for an additional charge). Snacks and drinks are provided throughout the day at the Beach Bar and Pool Bar – the latter is open late and offers a programme of live entertainment, music and cabaret.
