DoubleTree by Hilton Sharm El Sheikh Resort is a great family-friendly hotel, situated along a beautiful stretch of coastline, in a secluded cove. It offers three fantastic outdoor pools, a private beach, two large buffet restaurant and two a la carte option, as well as four fabulous bars. Accommodation is spacious, plus there’s an on-site fitness centre and tennis and paddle courts.
The resort is located on the southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula, known for its warm, clear waters and excellent dive sites, teeming with exotic fish and colourful reefs. Ras Um Sid is one such site, while the world-famous SS Thistlegorm shipwreck is a must-see, both approximately 14 miles away. Aside from the underwater world, there’s plenty to explore in the South Sinai Desert, around 128 miles north. Embark on a sunrise hike to Mount Sinai, followed by a visit to the beautiful religious site of Saint Catherine’s Monastery. The Old Market is approximately 12 miles away, after which you can unwind with a cool drink at one of the many rooftop bars as the sun sets behind the Sinai Mountains. Sharm El Sheikh International Airport is just under five miles away.

The pool area is sensational and certainly the hotel’s stand-out feature. It’s comprised of three outdoor pools – including a kids’ pool – which are surrounded by swaying palm trees and a plentiful supply of sun loungers and parasols. Beachside, you'll find Open Bistro serving up similar buffet spreads, all-day long. For a la carte dining, Cala Restaurant & Bar is situated beachside, too. Dishing up a menu of Mediterranean favourites and stunning seascapes, it's your go-to for a more elevated experience. Otherwise, House of Asia is a great choice for a taste of teppanyaki-style dining and Asian fusion fare.
Cool off in the afternoons with snacks, light bites, ice creams and spectacular sea views at Waves Bar and Beach Bar. Then, after dark, head to Q Bar or Olympic Bar where the scene is set with signature sips, live music and entertainment.
