Balmoral Resort Homes is a large, family-friendly rental community, situated in Haines City in Central Florida. It offers a great choice of private pool homes – all fitted with a laundry room and fully equipped kitchen and is around 23 miles from Walt Disney World Resort. The resort’s location is a big draw for families, being just over 11 miles from Legoland – which features Peppa Pig theme park, 23 miles from Walt Disney World Resort and 32 miles from Universal Studios Florida. Southern Dunes Golf and Country Park is only three miles away, offering rolling green fairways weaving through expansive sandy scrub areas. Lake Eva Community Park is under five miles away, where outdoor activities are encouraged. It boasts a public pool, workout machines, a splash pad, tennis and basketball courts, walking trails and a beach area. If you’re travelling around the Fourth of July, be sure to catch the spectacular annual Thunder on the Ridge firework show held at Lake Eva Community Park. Alternatively, head west to Tampa’s famous beaches including the breathtakingly beautiful Clearwater Beach and St Pete Beach. Orlando International Airport is 40 miles away.
Individually styled, private pool homes are allocated five days prior to arrival, offering spacious, self-catering living options for up to 12 people. They contain a fully equipped kitchen with appliances, a living room, a private pool, laundry facilities, a Smart TV, free Wi-Fi and a sofa bed. A complimentary starter pack is provided, which includes mini shampoo, shower gel, toilet paper, one tab of dishwasher detergent, one bin liner, one pack of laundry detergent and one dryer sheet. Supplies can be replenished by contacting guest services. A popular spot around the resort is the water park, containing two waterslides and a pool, a splash playground, sprinklers and a giant water bucket. There are plenty of loungers scattered around the area for parents to keep an eye on little ones – family cabanas can also be rented. The kids’ arcade room is also a big hit, where you can play on the world's largest Pac-Man, test your air hockey skills, keep up with the beat on the dancing arcade machine or challenge yourself on Whac-A-Mole. You also have access to a large, resort-style pool with plenty of sun loungers and parasols and an outdoor Jacuzzi, as well as a fitness centre – equipped with cardio machines and free weights.

For lunch and dinner, head over to the poolside Balmoral Bar & Grill. It’s a relaxed, bistro-style restaurant, where you can savour grilled shrimp, sandwiches and salads or pop by for a refreshing drink – give the Haines City Hurricane cocktail a try.
If you need to stock up on groceries, the Publix Super Market is less than two miles away. Plus, there are plenty of local restaurants to choose from, if you don’t feel like cooking.
