One of these boasts a water slide and a large rainbow dome with sprinklers and water features – perfect for toddlers. An outdoor playground filled with swings and see-saws is also strategically placed next door.

Tots, teens and in-betweens can also delight in the Aquafun kids’ club. Monkey club welcomes children aged 4 to 7 with arts and crafts and outdoor games in a cool jungle theme, while the Dolphin club organises cooking activities and hosts an indoor climbing wall with a sea life decor. Meanwhile, teenagers can hang out in the Eagle club, where intriguing science experiments and competitive games take place.

For some much-needed pampering, SPA Sensations has you covered with marine salts and fragrant oils from its treatment menu. Choose from a selection of facials and massages, or get beach ready with a pedicure. The hydro-wellness circuit offers plenty of soothing vibes with a heated indoor pool (subject to extra charge), as well as a Jacuzzi, sauna, cold plunge and floatarium. Plus, a children’s spa menu is available with a choco spa ritual and manicures, so you can relax together.

If you’re feeling energetic, join in with the dance or yoga classes. Take to the water for Aquagym and Aquabike in the pools or head to the tennis court, where you can hire balls and rackets and challenge your family to a game. Why not perfect your serve with the private sessions on offer, too.

Peruse the Canarian seafood dishes and international flavours at Maday, the main buffet restaurant. Feast your eyes on the live cooking displays and return in the evening for the themed nights. You can also quench your thirst at the self-service stations or treat yourself to glasses of wine for an extra charge. Children’s menus make a welcome appearance for fuss-free dining, too.

If poolside snacking suits your tastebuds, head to Erbania during the day. This venue hosts a late continental breakfast on the outdoor terrace with sea views – perfect for holiday mode. Sample their range of light bites, like hot dogs, pizzas and burgers. Sweet tooths will also appreciate the ice creams and pastries on display here. The Drink Truck is parked up by the pool, as well. Venture on over for beers and soft drinks in between swim sessions. For tempting tipples, visit Marasul. Retreat indoors for some respite or while the day away al fresco with a cocktail in hand. If you’re feeling peckish, order sandwiches and fruits – or put your dancing shoes on ready for the live music and discos in the evening.
