Yellow Bird is an affordable, boutique-style hotel which directly overlooks a picturesque, crescent bay. The friendly staff will help you to feel right at home during your stay in Barbados. You can enjoy the outdoor pool, sun deck and poolside restaurant – and you can self-cater at the contemporary hotel, as all rooms offer fully equipped kitchenettes.
The property is situated in a pretty peaceful corner of the St Lawrence Gap, on the south coast of Barbados. It sits across the road from St Lawrence Bay and around the corner from plenty of restaurants, bars and clubs. During the day, you can visit Worthing Beach or the larger Dover Beach, both less than half a mile from the hotel. If you want to tour the island, the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Historic Garrison area is just under three miles away, while the capital, Bridgetown, is six miles away. The journey to Grantley Adams International Airport is around seven miles.
Each spacious studio overlooks the ocean. The decor is functional – with porcelain tiles, granite counter tops and wooden furniture – and bright touches of tropical colour are present in the soft furnishings and local Barbadian artwork. The studios are designed to make you feel at home with fully equipped kitchenettes, private balconies, air-conditioning and free Wi-Fi. Keep in mind that there is no elevator on the property, so you should request a ground floor room if you require one.

The hotel offers an outdoor swimming pool, which is surrounded by cushioned sun loungers and umbrellas. Although on the smaller side, the area is fitting for the size of the property and rarely feels crowded. Just beyond the pool, there’s an attractive white-sand beach.
Wi-Fi is available throughout the property (although it can be patchy), and staff can arrange water sport activities, boat trips and golf excursions on request.
On the Bay is the hotel’s all-day restaurant and bar which specialises in Western and Bajan cuisine. It overlooks the St Lawrence Bay and offers a lounge area, where you can watch live sports on a flat-screen TV. Enjoy an a la carte menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner and daily happy hours.
In response to Coronavirus (COVID-19) there will thermal temperature screening procedures in place, and you will be required to wear a face mask in all public areas.
