Overview
Island Inn Hotel is a small all-inclusive hotel presenting a friendly and intimate atmosphere. Though not a beachfront property, it’s close to the scenic Aquatic Gap and Carlisle Bay. Originally constructed in the early 19th century as a rum storage facility, this boutique hotel still boasts old world charm and offers an authentic Bajan experience.
Situated in the Historic Garrison area (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), the hotel is close to many popular Barbados attractions. It is less than two miles from Bridgetown, while plenty of bars and restaurants can be found in the surrounding vicinity. Walk just over 130 metres to the Aquatic Gap or slightly further (around 600 metres) to Pebbles Beach – where you can often see horses bathing in the ocean. Grantley Adams International Airport is just under 10 miles away.
Rooms are all on the ground floor, spread across the low-rise buildings. They are decorated with modern retro furnishings, cream checkerboard floor tiles and contemporary, en suite bathrooms. Although spacious, some rooms do lack natural light, but they include unique cylindrical lamps to brighten them up. All rooms are air-conditioned and feature a safe, LCD cable TV and tea and coffeemaking facilities. It’s worth choosing a Superior Poolside Room for walk out access to the central pool, or a Junior Suite if you’re seeking additional space.

Beach towels are present in all rooms, so you can easily head down to the nearest beach to relax too.
You can also unwind in the attractive main courtyard, or in the lounge which is close by. Open 24-hours, the lounge is the place to watch televised sports, savour afternoon drinks or play board games. Wi-Fi is only available here, in the lobby, or the bar area.
In the day, borrow a book from the small library or work out at the on-site fitness centre. You’ll be occupied in the evenings with the dinner entertainment, which is provided three nights per week.
