Our book with confidence policy gives you flexibility so, if you no longer wish to fly, you can claim a voucher to use at a later date. If your flight has been cancelled, you may be able to claim a refund online.

If you’d like to use your Future Travel Voucher, you need to contact us so we can assist you with your booking. If you are not sure which voucher you have, please read your voucher email which will either refer to a ‘Future Travel Voucher’ or ‘eVoucher’.

Want to use your eVoucher?

Our eVouchers offer a quick and simple way of paying for flights on ba.com.

You can use either the full value of an eVoucher or some of it to pay for a less expensive booking. If you don’t use all of it, we’ll simply send another eVoucher covering the difference.

If you are not sure which voucher you have, please read your voucher email which will either refer to a ‘Future Travel Voucher’ or ‘eVoucher’.

How to use an eVoucher

  1. Find the flights you'd like to book
  2. Review your booking and enter your eVoucher details
  3. See your updated total and continue to payment

Need to cancel and claim a voucher?

If you booked via a travel agent, please contact them directly to discuss cancelling your booking.

You can claim a voucher to the value of your booking, valid for travel until 30 September 2023, if:

  • You booked prior to 3 March 2020 for travel due to have started by 28 February 2021
  • You booked from 3 March 2020 onwards for travel due to be completed by 31 August 2022

Vouchers can be used as payment, or part payment, for a future booking. Your new trip booked with your voucher must be fully completed by 30 September 2023 (departure and return). You will receive your voucher by email within seven days of your application.

IMPORTANT: Please do not amend your booking in Manage My Booking yourself - we will do this on your behalf.

Claim Avios

Executive Club Members whose flights have been cancelled can now choose Avios instead of a voucher or refund. Taking Avios as an alternative to the cash element paid for your ticket means you’ll receive a 100% bonus compared to Avios purchased at the standard rate. Please contact us to claim Avios.
