Perfect your serve at The Tennis Gardens, featuring 20 Har-Tru tennis courts, or practice your swing on either of the two golf courses, totting up 45-holes between them (green fees are not included). Links on Longboat, running along the Gulf of Mexico, feels like a seaside links course. With a Par-71 layout and 18 holes, your iron play will be challenged more than your shot. At The Harbourside, which borders the Bay, there are three 9-hole courses to play – Blue Heron is one of the most preferred with breathtaking views at every turn. The exercise studio extends this resort’s focus on health and fitness, offering up to 55 fitness classes per week.

The pristine white beaches and gulf-front pool, complete with a huge sun deck, allow you to really unwind – as does The Spa. Deep tissue massages and reflexology are key focuses aimed at counteracting the physical strain exercise can exert on your body. The steam rooms are filled with the relaxing scent of eucalyptus and essential oils too.

The Resort at Longboat Key Club has been making huge efforts to preserve the natural resources of Florida's Gulf Coast, introducing substantial eco-friendly programmes, reducing waste and conserving water, energy and other vital resources. From May to October they also put measures in place to protect the nesting turtles, encouraging ways to minimize impact during your stay.

There are five restaurants to choose from, offering everything from grilled sandwiches at Banyan Poolside Lounge by the pool to Northern Italian fare at Portofino. If you decide to play a couple of holes, stop at the Spike n’ Tees for refreshments. Latitudes is the hotel's signature restaurant and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and the Tavern & Whiskey Bar specialises in serving seasonal fare and 100 distinctive whiskies.

A daily resort fee applies. This fee includes unlimited local and toll-free calls, on-property transport to resort amenities, use of two beach lounge chairs (four beach lounge chairs if you’re staying in a Two Bedroom Suite, charges apply for umbrellas), use of poolside loungers (subject to availability), use of poolside lockers, changing rooms and showers, access to lobby computers, in-room coffee (limits apply) and in-room bottled water (limits apply). It also offers access to the fitness centre, the golf driving range and the beach. Access to bicycles, tennis and pickleball instruction, pickleball reservations for hotel guests, golf instruction, golf courses, fitness classes and the spa are based on availability (charges apply).
