Overview
Ca’Sagredo Hotel sits within a well-preserved 15th Century palazzo, along a prime spot on Venice’s Grand Canal. In fact, this national monument was once the home of nobility, with much of the original grandeur and character still intact. Gaze upon masterpieces by Venetian artists, opulent floors dressed in original Italian marble and unbelievable frescos in both the palatial ballrooms. Plus, you can feast on gourmet fare at the on-site restaurant and remark upon awe-inspiring canal views from the rooftop terrace.
The hotel is perched on an iconic spot on the banks of Venice’s Grand Canal. Water taxis and a local gondola service conveniently arrive metres from the hotel’s entrance. On the opposite bank of the canal, shop fresh fish and local produce at the Rialto Market, then walk 300 metres to reach the Ponte Rialto Bridge. St Mark’s Square is equally worth a visit and sits over half a mile from the hotel. Venice Marco Polo Airport is around five miles away – approximately 40 minutes by water taxi.
Rooms are individually decorated, but most have regal pelmet curtains, gilt framed, cushioned headboards and period furnishings – staying true to the original features of the hotel. The elegantly furnished Sagredo Venetian Double rooms come with inner courtyard views, as do the more spacious Junior Suites, which also have a sitting area. Each room comes with a TV, simple air conditioning and basic Wi-Fi.

Dining information
The quaint breakfast service garners high praise for its atmosphere and service, although receives mixed reviews for its variety. Enjoy a modest spread of pastries, cereals, cheese, breads and fruits. For dinner, L’Alcova Restaurant serves Italian wines and Venetian cuisine using fresh produce – sourced from the Rialto Market. Take a seat in the intimate dining room or enjoy your meal on the terrace overlooking the canal. You can also enjoy drinks on the terrace from Bar L’Incontro. In the evenings from May to September, make your way to the rooftop terrace and sip a bellini, spritz or cocktail with marvellous views.
