Blue Waters Inn is a charming, boutique hotel, situated directly on the beach of Tobago’s north coast. It offers two on-site restaurants, an infinity pool and an on-site, PADI Five Star Dive Center.
Tucked away in Speyside and facing the sea at Batteaux Bay, Blue Waters Inn is a laid-back beachside haven. Over 46 acres of tropical grounds interwoven with nature trails surround the hotel. Speyside is the closest village, just over a mile away, with a nice boardwalk and a few restaurants. Approximately three miles from Blue Waters Inn is Charlottesville, a sleepy fishing village with a gas station, bars and restaurants. Local attractions include Tobago Main Ridge Forest Reserve, reputed as the world’s oldest legally protected rainforest – and Coral Gardens, a dive site which features the world’s biggest ‘brain coral’ coral reef. The hotel is just over 30 miles from ANR Robinson International Airport.
Low rise, white-washed buildings house 38 rooms, studios and bungalows with a private patio or balcony with sea views. The rooms are simple but elegant, with vaulted ceilings and dark wood furniture, typical of the Caribbean. All rooms are equipped with a flat-screen satellite TV, tea and coffee making facilities, an iron and ironing board and a safety box. Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel. For more space, select a well-appointed, comfortable one- or two-bedroom bungalow with a full-sized kitchen. These spacious bungalows feature large, private furnished terraces with steps leading directly to the beach.

Blue Waters Inn features an infinity pool, sun deck and open-air Jacuzzi offering direct views across the bay towards Goat Island and Little Tobago island, popular with divers and snorkellers. Palms and seagrape trees fringe the beach, which boasts hammocks and kayaks to explore the sheltered bay.
The on-site PADI Five Star Dive Center is an accredited Instructor Dive Centre, so it offers certification courses in addition to a full range of dive options. Two specialist dive boats comfortably carry divers to all the island's fantastic dive sites, some home to Tobago’s famous brain corals.
The hotel’s games room contains a big flat-screen TV with satellite channels, video games and table games. You can also borrow rackets, tennis balls, basketballs, cricket bats and footballs. Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel, and there’s free parking.
Dining information
The popular, beachside Shipwreck Bar is the focal point in the evening, serving fresh local cuisine. Once a week, they hold an evening barbeque on the sun terrace. Daily breakfast, lunch and daytime snacks are also available at Shipwreck Bar, too. For a fine dining experience, Aqua is an elegant indoor restaurant offering wonderfully crafted dishes using the freshest ingredients.
Please be aware that some dishes are excluded from the Half and Full Board meal plans, but these are clearly indicated on the menu.
