Occasional pops of colour come from copper accents, grey-green doors and woven rugs with swirls of blue.
The property is close to picturesque Oia, and there is a public path leading straight up to the village centre, about six minutes’ walk away. It's worth the walk just to capture the stunning caldera views. Embark on a tour of the island’s wineries – you can take your pick from Sigalas Domaine, Estate Argyros and Santo Wines, and can even help out with the wine harvest in August. Alternatively, ask the hotel to organise a local catamaran trip for you. Several stunning beaches and bays are a brisk stroll away, including Baxedes, Koloumbos, Ammoudi and Armeni. The lively bars, shops and entertainments of Fira town are 6.8 miles away and Santorini Airport is about 11 miles.
