Overview
The Miami Beach EDITION offers a glamorous private enclave, set right on the expansive Miami beachfront. This fabulous resort offers an array of facilities, from Instagram-worthy rooms and a chic spa to the Basement – an entertainment hub with a nightclub, bowling alley and even an ice-skating rink. When you’re not sunning yourself on the sands, relax around the landscaped outdoor pools or dig into cuisine developed by a Michelin-starred chef.
Perched on the Miami Beach Boardwalk in Mid Beach, the hotel’s surroundings are chock with trendy bars, restaurants and nightclubs – though you needn't leave the resort to experience these, EDITION has you covered. Explore Art Deco architecture and modern art at The Bass gallery space, less than a mile away on Collins Avenue, an area known for its buzz and unique boutiques. South Beach’s iconic sights, including Ocean Drive and Lincoln Road, are only three miles away. Miami International Airport is 12 miles to the west.
EDITION hotels are well known for their uber chic décor, and you can expect no less here. Standard and City View rooms are an oasis of calm with bleached wood furniture, pale tiled floors and white walls, kept warm with light oak panelled walls. Lamps provide soft lighting, making the room cosy come nightfall You’ll notice small vases with flowers or green foliage providing a pop in each room, a signature of the brand, and find Le Labo toiletries in sleek bathrooms, bearing EDITION’s unique scent. Oceanfront King rooms capture the water views, while Deluxe City View King rooms are larger, with more seating space. Pick an Oceanfront Suite for a separate sleeping and sitting area, or a Deluxe Oceanview Suite for a more spacious seating area with a large sofa and dining table for six. Located in a smaller separate building connected by a short ‘sky bridge’ from the lobby, Bungalow accommodation faces the pool or garden. Those on higher floors gaze out to the ocean. They also have a more exclusive feel, with only 28 rooms and suites in the building. For pool views, opt for a Bungalow Poolview King Room or Suite, or choose the bi-level Bungalow Loft Suite. If you’d rather have your own private plunge pool on a balcony deck, book into the Premiere Bungalow Suites, which also feature ocean views.

Other facilities
Two pools provide a place for a cooling dip, one lined by palms and a bar, and the other cradled by the curving Bungalow building. Perched on the beachfront, the hotel has its own ‘sandbox’ – an area of sand sheltered by palms, dotted with floor cushions for lounging, as well as access to a private slice of beach, lined with blue and white striped umbrellas shading white padded loungers.
Prep for a night on the tiles at The Spa, indulging in Ayurvedic treatments, massages, facials, manicures and pedicures. A 24-hour fitness centre houses cardio equipment, strength training tools and free weights, as well as headphones and refreshments.
One of the resort's standout features is the Basement, a ‘micro club’ serving neon lights, nightlife, a four-lane bowling alley and ice-skating with reactive lighting, hidden away from the Miami heat.
Dining information
With dining developed by Michelin-starred Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, your culinary experience is in safe hands. Take a foodie tour of South America, the Caribbean and Spain at the Matador Room, The Miami Beach EDITION’s signature restaurant. Inspired by supper clubs of the 50s, the restaurant hosts seasonal menus in a sunken dining area with dishes including arroz con pollo and shrimp ceviche. Next door, Matador Bar serves cocktails from a walnut and stone bar, surrounded by panelled walls. For more relaxed dining, Market is inspired by boulangeries and salumeries, with deli meat, pasta and pizza stations dotted around the restaurant. By the pool, Tropicale’s al fresco dining experience includes sweet pea guacamole, black grouper tacos and frozen key lime pie, as well as island tunes. Downstairs, Basement Bowl & Skate combines fun with flavoursome light bites (please check locally for opening times).
