The Goodtime Hotel is an incredibly stylish, insta-ready South Beach property, the brainchild of music icon Pharrell Williams and nightlife entrepreneur David Grutman. As the name suggests, it’s the destination for a ‘goodtime’, oozing cool, party vibes, wrapped up in a pastel infused Miami Art Deco aesthetic. It features a gorgeous Mediterranean restaurant and cafe, a dedicated beach area, in addition to a stunning pool where a party is guaranteed.
The location of the hotel is hard to beat. It occupies a block on Washington Avenue and is less than half a mile from the bustling Ocean Drive – although far enough to feel like a little oasis when you step inside. South Beach’s historic Art Deco district is a short stroll away, as is the iconic stretch of Lummus Park Beach, famous for its outdoor gym areas (Muscle Beach) and picture-perfect white sandy coastline. Check out the vibrant murals and funky art galleries at Wynwood or head over to the Design District where large scale public art installations draw the crowds, both of which are within a six-mile radius. In addition, you have access to an incredibly vibrant restaurant and bar scene, museums as well as quirky boutiques and high-end shopping outlets. Miami International Airport is ten miles away.
Art Deco styling flourishes in the rooms, represented by a liberal use of pastel colours, illustrated-print curtains, blush and sage headboards and mint and white striped bedding. Bathrooms feature gold hardware, marble sink surrounds and pastel subway tiled showers while playful touches include pink rotary phones, ingenious storage solutions and leopard print bathrobes. Queen rooms are fairly compact but contain everything you need for a comfy stay otherwise, upgrade to a king room or suite for more space. Views from the rooms (and a handful of suites) are of sunset views across Biscayne Bay or sunrise views out across the Atlantic Ocean.

It's not surprising, given the credentials of the creators, that music can be heard throughout the hotel, the hub of which is most certainly on the roof. The whole area is undeniably Miami-glamourous, featuring an expansive peppermint tiled twin pool, divided in the middle by a pastel pink runway (to see and be seen) and surrounded by retro-inspired peach sun loungers and pastel blue and white striped umbrellas. Private cabanas can be hired and are reminiscent of a bygone era, embodying elegance and style. Cabana comfort is key; each one is furnished with custom made sumptuous furniture, secure storage for personal belongings, outlets for charging, individual music controls and oscillating fans. Throughout the day and as the sun sets, crowds gather to experience the party, hosted by celebrated DJs, where a good time is assured.
Aside from the pool party scene, you also have exclusive access to The Goodtime Hotel beach area, accessible on 7th Street. Here, as well as powdery sands and the Atlantic Ocean, your beach day will be stress-free with dedicated chaise lounges, cocktail service and water sports for guests staying at the hotel (two sun loungers are reserved per room, per day, charges apply for umbrellas). In addition, the hotel also features an indoor-outdoor gym equipped with Peloton stationary bikes and TechnoGym treadmills or you can take part in a yoga class on the beach which are held daily.
The Spa @ Goodtime offers a range of blissful relaxation and revitalization treatments using natural ingredients held either in-room, on the pool deck and off-site. Indulge in a poolside cabana spa package of a 60-minute massage that integrates deep tissue and pressure points, reflexology, along with a complimentary bottle of rose and pool access for one. Hangover cures are offered here for those needing a detox or try the Champagne Toast treatment, designed to unite couples using Champagne oil.
For those looking for a respite, head to the calming library area where you can read, relax on the cosy furniture and enjoy a drink while taking in the surroundings.
Located next to the pool area is the hotel’s indoor-outdoor restaurant Strawberry Moon. Named after the last full moon of spring, it certainly is the vibrant, sociable heart of the property. It’s as visually arresting as the rest of the hotel, decorated in a palette of pastel pinks, lagoon blues and palm greens, furnished with pinstripe awnings, scalloped chairs and wicker light fixtures. It offers Mediterranean classics and comfort foods including pizza, kebabs and meze for brunch and dinner in the enclosed restaurant area, covered terrace or on the outdoor deck. Drinks include a full cocktail menu and beers as well as bottomless mimosas, sparkling wine and rose for brunch. Weekend brunches are in demand so be sure to reserve in advance. The Cafe is open early until late at night for fresh juices, coffee and light bites, served on the outdoor chequerboard floored terrace.
A resort fee applies and includes access to the pool area and complimentary access to special events at The Pool at Strawberry Moon, access to the exclusive beach area and two sun loungers per day, beach towels (deposit required), two-hour bike hire (subject to availability), access to the MyBeast workout facilities and fitness centre, Wi-Fi access and two bottles of water.
Valet and self-parking is available at a charge.
