Whether you want to stay active or simply lounge in the sun, the resort’s huge range of facilities has you covered. The main freshwater pool is in the centre of the resort and is equipped with plenty of loungers and parasols, where you can lay back and soak up the sun. Conveniently placed between the main buffet restaurant and the main bar, you’ll enjoy easy, quick access to any refreshments you may need throughout the day. Children are allowed here under the supervision of an adult. The Zen Pool, on the other hand, is a far quieter spot featuring incredible views facing the lagoon. This freshwater pool is an adult-only escape, with teenagers aged 16 and over permitted when accompanied by an adult. There’s also a children’s pool adjacent to the kids’ clubs, equipped with pool toys so little ones can play to their heart’s content.

Head to the Club Med Spa by Cinq Mondes to be pampered into a state of total bliss. Offering a range of treatments inspired by traditional holistic therapies from across the globe, this spa is nestled within a tropical garden in the resort’s Zen Zone, featuring a relaxation area with a herbal tea room facing the ocean. Treatments here incur extra costs, as does the hammam located within the spa – however, the hammam is free of charge when purchasing a treatment. If you’d prefer to stay active, there are a plethora of sports facilities at your disposal. Next to the spa, you’ll find a sea-facing gym equipped with state-of-the-art cardiovascular equipment. Group fitness classes also take place all day within the unique setting of the remains of an 18th Century fort, ranging from low to high intensity training, with a free-access weights room to elevate your workout.

Among the many other sports activities on offer here are yoga workshops, group lessons in archery and flying trapeze, beach volleyball, table tennis, petanque, tennis lessons and free access to the resort’s tennis court and golf facilities. There’s also a variety of water sports to explore, including snorkelling, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, PADI-certified scuba diving courses, group sailing lessons and free access to sailing facilities. Alternatively, embark on a variety of excursions outside of the resort, offered at additional costs; from nature getaways to cultural tours of Port Louis, there won’t be a dull moment during your stay.

Children aged two to three will enjoy engaging activities, creative workshops and more if they are enrolled at the Petit Club, meanwhile kids aged four to ten can explore a variety of activities and classes at Mini Club Med, including archery, flying trapeze, golf, sailing, tennis and more. The same classes are also on offer for older kids aged 11 to 17 at a slightly more advanced level, ensuring that kids of all ages will make lifelong memories during their stay – even when you need a moment to yourself.

Dining information

Explore a buffet style breakfast, lunch or dinner at The Distillerie restaurant, ideally placed next to the main pool. Offering a range of show cooking stations with succulent grilled dishes, Asian and international cuisines and local Mauritian delicacies, you’ll dine on one of two scenic terraces here. Spread across two storeys, one of the terraces offers open-air dining while the other is covered and features stunning views overlooking the sea or lagoon. Alternatively, enjoy a slow rise in the mornings with a late a la carte breakfast at The Phare restaurant, serving up local delicacies with blissful oceanside views. Return here for lunch to savour aromatic Asian-inspired dishes, or book a table for dinner through the Club Med app.

For refreshing libations and light snacks throughout the day, head to one of the resort’s three bars. Sample flavourful Mauritian street food alongside fresh fruit juices and cocktails at Mangrove Bar, a beach shack bar placed right on the sandy beach, equipped with bohemian loungers and parasols. The Banian is a stylish poolside bar, featuring eccentric red and purple furnishings in a rustic setting, with an island-style thatched wood roof. Smoking is permitted on the terrace here, with cigar humidors available at an additional cost. Champagne is served by the glass in the evenings here, as well as at The Alouda, a laid-back beachfront bar with unparalleled views of the sparkling Indian Ocean. Enjoy expertly crafted drinks as you lounge on plush furniture, with light green tones and natural wood accents creating a blissful atmosphere.
