Set in twelve acres of terraced gardens at the foot of the Sierra Blanca mountains, Club Med Magna Marbella is an all-inclusive resort packed with family-friendly fun. There are multiple pools to choose from, including a shallow pool for young children, a waterslide splash pad and an adult-only pool for quiet moments. A handful of kids’ clubs cater to different ages, while a range of activities are available for the whole family.
Despite its pretty countryside feel, the resort’s location is just a mile and a half from central Marbella. Here you’ll find pretty bougainvillea-lined Old Town streets, many of which connect to Plaza de los Narajos – the area’s historic central square, lined with cafes and shops. Slightly further south, a few minutes’ walk from the Old Town, you’ll find the Parque de la Alameda, known for its lush greenery and central fountain. While a further half mile’s stroll takes you to the sandy Playa del Venus. Alternatively, a 40-mile trip north takes you to Ronda, one of Spain’s oldest cities. This hilltop setting is home to 12th Century baths and the Puente Nuevo, or New Bridge, which crosses the 100-metre drop that separates Ronda’s old and new towns. Malaga Airport is 33 miles to the east.
Superior rooms sport sand and sapphire colour schemes, many offering sea views, with Family Superior Rooms providing more space. Deluxe rooms feature fuchsia and latte tones and sea views, as well as bathrobes, slippers and pool towels in the bathrooms. While Suites offer the most space, with mustard and royal blue pops of colour. In addition to sea views, Suites also grant the option to enjoy a continental breakfast via room service and a non-alcoholic minibar – refilled daily. If you’re travelling with a young family, request a Baby Equipment Kit ahead of your arrival, which includes a baby bath, a bottle warmer, a changing table, a cot and a pushchair.

Young ones can also immerse themselves in activities at the kids’ clubs. Those aged 4 months to 3 years can participate in creative early learning workshops and walks. While ages 4 to 10 and 11 to 17 can enjoy archery lessons, shows and tennis lessons in their respective clubs. Some childcare services incur additional costs.

Dining information
Providing sea views from a terrace as well as international dishes and local specialities, Suenos restaurant is the resort’s main eatery. It’s also got a Baby Corner for the youngest diners with a blender, microwave and fridge. Serving late breakfasts, tapas, snacks and a la carte dinners, Tierra Gourmet Club showcases local cuisine (reservations required for dinner). You’ll also find Spanish wine tasting workshops here, as well as live music.
There are four bars to choose from. The Rouge Bar, which is located in the middle of the resort, is the place to go for a selection of drinks – all day long. Head to the adult-only Bar Sierra Blanca, by the Zen Pool, for light snacks, juices and non-alcoholic drinks. Bar Tierra, in the Tierra Gourmet Lounge area, serves signature cocktails and Iberian ham and the Wine Bar is the spot to sample a wide selection of wine.
