When you’re not out enjoying the sun and the sea breeze at Ghadira Bay, you can take a dip into one of the pools – the main Laguna Pool is the largest outdoor pool in Malta, complete with a sundeck and swim-up bar (available from mid-May). The adults-only pool features 80 m2 of swimming space alongside a swim-up bar stocked with a selection of spirits, beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages for over 16s to enjoy. There are also two indoor pools – one with a whirlpool and another for children.

Keep on top of your health regimen at the 24-hour fitness centre (available for guests 16 years and over), which is fully equipped with a variety of cardio machines and weights that you can use to work up a sweat before relaxing in the indoor pool, hydrobath and sauna. Unwind at the tranquil Pearl Spa, which offers a variety of massages and beauty treatments, or reinvigorate your hairstyle at the salon.

The staff lead guided activities for the entire family, such as indoor and outdoor sports, dance classes and water aerobics. Alternatively, let the kids ages 4 to 11 engage in educational activities at the colourful db Kids Club. There’s also a kids’ playhouse located within Jungle Restaurant, featuring crawl tunnels, slides and a ball pit. Meanwhile, teens can play billiards, air hockey and classic arcade machines at the db Teens Hangout.

You can also stock up on refreshments and beach essentials at Laguna Shopping in resort, then check out live performances every evening.

Dining information

The resort’s main restaurant, Coral, has an international menu. Start your day with a selection of pastries and sweet or savoury breakfast dishes alongside a variety of juices, then return for lunch or dinner for antipasti, mains and desserts. Views of Mellieha Bay will serve as the backdrop and there’s a dedicated children’s area. The Jungle is another buffet restaurant serving pizza and pasta dishes alongside waterfalls, trees and a dedicated children’s play area.

For all-day dining, head to Laguna Pool Restaurant for Mediterranean style grills and fish during the summer. El Rodizio plates up Brazilian meats, freshly cooked on a churrasco with an authentic chimichurri sauce, alongside a salad and dessert buffet. Turkish, Lebanese, Persian and Arab feasts await at Levant, while Asian cuisine is served at the energetic L-Orient. You can also explore an Italian sharing menu at Salia, where the sunny terrace offers views of the beach (a la carte menu at a supplement).

In the evenings, wind down at one of three bars – the cosy Punent Bar (adults only) is located opposite the reception area and has an outdoor terrace, enhanced by views of the bay. Alternatively, enjoy poolside refreshments at Dome Bar in the main pool area, or head to the Sports Bar for a drink with friends over a game of bowling.

Each themed restaurant can be visited once (booking mandatory) during a seven-night stay. Booking is advisable after check-in to avoid disappointment as each themed restaurant has a limited seating capacity.

Restaurants are available to non-guests and can get busy, particularly on weekends. We highly recommend making reservations with the hotel to avoid disappointment. Opening hours and venues may change with seasonality.

Please note, this hotel is popular with both guests and locals, restaurants and public areas can get very busy during high season.

The Pool Bar is open from April to October, weather permitting, meanwhile the swim-up bar is for adults only from June to mid-October, weather permitting.

Air conditional is seasonal and operated remotely depending on weather conditions. Heating is provided in the winter months.
