Overview

Discover romantic vistas and castaway vibes at OBLU SELECT Lobigili. The name translates to ‘love island’, and there’s romance in abundance at this adult-only all-inclusive resort. Settle into a luxurious villa, tuck your feet in to paradisiacal white sands and admire turquoise views. You’ll find a wonderful spa and excellent food options, including an awesome underwater restaurant. If you can tear yourself away from the gorgeous infinity pool and beach, you can snorkel the multicoloured reefs or head out on a kayak or paddleboard.

OBLU SELECT Lobigili is located on a private island in the Male Atoll of the Maldives. Male and its international airport are approximately 15 minutes away by speedboat.

The spacious villas offer a haven of relaxation. Decor is a blend of soothing whites and blues with wooden floors, while added comforts include a daily restocked minibar, tea and coffee making facilities, bathrobes, slippers and a flat-screen TV. The Water Villas are located on stilts over the lagoon affording direct access to the sea. Each has a deep-soak bathtub, glass-bottom floor and overwater hammock. You can also upgrade your Water Villa to include a private infinity pool. SunNest Beach Pool Villas are perched directly on the beach offering ultimate seclusion. Once it’s time to leave the beach or poolside there’s still plenty to entertain here if you wish. Snorkelling equipment is complimentary as are paddleboards and kayaks. Activity seekers can work out in the over-water gym or practise their swing on the tennis court, while relaxation hunters can kick back in the spa. There’s also a complimentary sunset fishing excursion and guided snorkelling trip (one per guest per stay, weather dependent). As evening falls there’s DJ sets and live music till late at The Swing Bar.

Ylang Ylang supplies all-day dining amid contemporary decor and jaw-dropping ocean views. For lunch savour a selection from the chalkboard menu or live cooking stations and for dinner choose from five set menus including Italian, Mediterranean, Thai, Indian and Indonesian (Mediterranean, Thai, Indian and Indonesian served a la carte for your main meal). There’s a library zone for reading, live cooking stations, a salad bar and a dessert bar. For a light refreshment in the day or a late-night jaunt, The Swing Bar is open all day by the pool. Cabanas, hammocks and swing chairs exude a chic vibe while DJ sets and live music provide late-night entertainment. Try a Maldivian snack such as deep-fried coconut, lime and chilli served in the early evenings. Located by the beach, Gaadiya 17 food truck serves tasty dinners made up of grilled meats and seafood. For an unforgettable experience, Only Blu is an underwater restaurant. Expect modern gourmet fare and a full dining experience with a welcome glass of sparkling followed by a platter of appetisers, or choose from the a la carte menu.
