If you’re seeking an adults-recommended retreat on the Costa del Sol, Amare Beach Hotel Marbella offers everything you need. It features fun decor, a pool with sea views, a beach club, and a spa by prestigious Spanish skincare brand, Germaine de Capuccini. Popular for its beaches and sunny climate, Marbella sits in southern Spain’s Andalucia. Amare Beach Hotel Marbella is directly on the beachfront promenade, around 650 metres from Marbella’s whitewashed old town, where you can stroll down its flower-lined cobblestone streets, packed with restaurants, bars and boutiques. Traipse along the former Moorish city walls and visit the remains of Marbella Castle, dating back to the ninth century. Playground for the rich and famous, Puerto Banus is four and a half miles west of the hotel, known for its yacht-dotted marina, designer shops, luxury beach clubs and vibrant nightlife. Marbella is also a hot spot for keen golfers, with 21 courses in the surrounding area. Malaga-Costa del Sol Airport is 32 miles away.

Hotel decor is fresh, minimalist and fun – think lots of white walls with neon lights and bold artwork, plus a mirrored elephant sculpture. Although plenty of light and plenty of white are unifying features, each room is designed differently. Oh La La Front Sea View rooms add a pop of pale blue to reference the views, and beds have a mashrabiya screen-style headboard which extends to the ceiling. Keep The Secret rooms are almost completely white but feel inviting with clever recessed lighting behind and on either side of the bed, as well as behind the TV. I Was Here rooms have darker wood flooring and beachfront murals behind the beds, with letters in the sand spelling out the name of the room. Molton Brown toiletries and Nespresso machines feature in all.

At the front of the hotel, a chequerboard-bottom pool sits before the sea and is surrounded by palms and sandy coloured sun loungers. Amare Beach club occupies a generous section of sand across the beachfront promenade, where you can stroll the wooden walkways to the sea. Spend time reclined on a padded sun lounger, ordering food and drinks from the beachfront restaurant through the ‘push and go’ remote service, and receiving a relaxing massage. Listen out for afternoon DJ sets and themed nights, ranging from live music to flamenco dancing.

The SPA by prestigious Spanish skincare brand Germaine de Capuccini, is not your average spa. Treatments include the ‘Global Anti Age On’, which aims to slow down the ageing process, or the ‘Be Expressive Lift In’ to restore your skin’s firmness. The relaxation zones are also a find. Plus, there’s a gym, packed with Technogym equipment.

Dining information

With sea views and a buffet breakfast, Mare Nostrum is the ideal place to begin your day. When you’re soaking up the sun on the sands, Amare Beach restaurant offers a selection of tapas with fresh seafood and Iberian ham, as well as pizzas and burgers underneath shade sails – you can even order items to your sun lounger. On the beach or by the pool, you can also enjoy award-winning sushi from Carlos Navarro. You’ll find light lunches at Amare Lounge, too.

By night, Amare Beach transforms into a Latin American hotspot, Hayaca, serving flavours from Cuba, Argentina, Peru, Mexico and Brazil. Afterwards, head to Belvue rooftop bar for far-reaching panoramic views, DJ residencies and cocktails by world-renowned bartender, Diego Cabrera. Try the XO-XO Amare, including gin, elderflower liqueur, sweet and sour lemon, agave syrup, grapefruit and tonic.

Half board service is a la carte and drinks are not included. During the winter season dinner will be served in Amare Lounge and in the summer season dinner will be served in Amare Beach restaurant.
