Altis Avenida Hotel is a boutique hotel sitting in the heart of Lisbon. You’re well placed for shopping on Avenida da Liberdade and exploring the charming streets of Bairro Alto and Alfama. Behind its commanding facade, you’ll find glamourous interiors with art deco flourishes. When you’re not exploring the city, savour foodie delights at the restaurant or sit back with a cocktail on the hotel’s rooftop bar – complete with views over the city as far as Sao Jorge Castle and the River Tagus.
The hotel sits at the tail end of Avenida da Liberdade on Praca dos Restauradores square. The popular Bairro Alto, Chiado and Alfamo are around half a mile away, and you’re well placed for luxury shopping on Liberdade. In front of the hotel, there are bus stops and the Restauradores Metro Station to take you further around the city. Lisbon’s Humberto Delgado Airport is around five miles away.
Black panelling, gold finishes and leather headboards give rooms an urban chic feel. Starting at 21 m2, rooms are cosy, although there are plenty of facilities for a comfortable stay. Amenities include Egyptian cotton linens, electric black-out blinds, a TV, a coffee machine, bathrobes and slippers. Decor is contemporary and calming, with floor-to-ceiling windows, colourful armchairs and some traditional Portuguese tiles. Try and nab the large armchair, which offers the best views over the Tagus River, or the high table for equally unhindered views.
