Overview

Combining a luxury hotel with a casino, adventure park and aqua park, City of Dreams Mediterranean is a mega resort. With plenty of family-friendly facilities, as well as those geared to adults, there’s something for everyone. A kids’ club, spa and stunning rooms are more of what’s on offer, as well as six enticing drinking and dining venues spread around the resort, offering items from around the world and the resort’s own gardens.

On the south coast of Cyprus, this resort is set in an orange grove, surrounded by lush countryside. Despite its rural sounding setting, it’s only four miles from the popular city of Limassol, and roughly five miles from Lady’s Mile Beach, known for its clear, shallow water, and Salt Lake. Popular shopping centre MyMall is just over a mile away, but you needn't leave the resort for retail therapy – you'll find designer shops on site. Larnaca International Airport is 47 miles to the east – around an hour by car.

A whopping 500 rooms and suites are available here. Arranged in a flat top triangle, the large main building doesn’t feel imposing, and allows for greater views from accommodation sat at either end. Rooms include Premier and Grand Options, both equally stylish, decked in bleached woods and pale blues, the latter offering extra space (though both are generously proportioned) and better views of the surrounding scenery. A handful of suites each offer a different reason to upgrade. Panoramic Suites offer far-reaching views, while Sky Suites offer uninterrupted views of the Limassol skyline or Salt Lake. The Penthouse Suite features an impressive rooftop pool and uninterrupted panoramic views. Presidential Suites have over 600 m2 of living space, two bedrooms, a kitchenette, makeup room, a fitness room, private infinity pool and endless views of the Mediterranean Sea and Limassol skyline. Nespresso machines and USB charging ports are standard.

Other facilities

A huge lagoon style pool winds around palms, flowers and a bar. It’s part of Aqua World, Cyprus’ largest pool complex, which also features water slides and water fountains aplenty, and the WaveRider – a surfing simulation, where you can learn to master the waves.

On dry land, The Adventure Park features zip lines, an extreme ropes course, a family ropes course, a climbing wall, playground, trampoline zone and even mini golf. Indoors, the kids’ club hosts games and educational activities. Plus, former professional tennis player, Marcos Baghdatis, manages the onsite tennis academy.

For adults, the vast casino is open 24 hours a day and is packed with roulette, poker, baccarat and blackjack tables, as well as slot machines. Dedicated to calm, Renu Spa & Fitness expertly provides pampering treatments, as well as a sauna, steam room, relaxation area, hairdresser and gym.

Dining information

A total of six dining and drinking venues cater to all taste buds. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are proffered at Aura, where local and international cuisine features alongside a pizza making station for young guests. Relaxed poolside bites, including pizzas and fish and chips, can be found at Aqua Bar, as well as yellowfin tuna poke bowls with pickles and sprouts from the resort’s own gardens. Open in the evenings, Amber Dragon offers a medley of a la carte East Asian creations, from sashimi to dim sum. Also open in the evenings, Anais’s is the hotel’s gastro-style club complete with a French-inspired menu. Open to adults only, this restaurant serves meals prepared in an open kitchen, paired with fine international wines.

In a laidback setting, The Lounge is the perfect place to sip fresh coffees in the mornings and unique cocktails in the evenings. No matter when food cravings arise, Centre Stage is an adult-only eatery, open 24-hours on the casino floor. Satisfy your appetite with gourmet sandwiches, tempting pasta dishes and crisp salads here.

Upgrade to half board to enjoy buffet dinners served in the Aura Restaurant. If buffet service is unavailable, dinner will be served via a set menu with the choice of one appetiser, one main course and one dessert (per person).
