Club Med Peisey-Vallandry is the ultimate family getaway. This all-inclusive ski resort boasts a photogenic alpine location, top-tier group skiing and snowboarding lessons, plus an ultra-fun kids’ club for tots, teens and in-betweens. Add in a duo of restaurants and a duo of bars – with a kid-friendly food menu and a moreish mocktail menu and it’s the ideal place for the whole family to conquer the pistes.
Tucked away in the secluded alpine landscape of the Tarentaise Valley – where luscious pine trees sprout among a vast mountain range, Club Med Peisey-Vallandry is the epitome of picturesque. Explore the quaint village of Vallandry, which is only half a mile away and offers captivating mountain vistas, along with restaurants and vast ski slopes. Meanwhile, Peisey-Nancroix, with its mahogany chalets covered in bright white snow or edelweiss-infused green hills, is only three miles away. Geneva Airport is the closest serving airport at 96 miles away.
While the resort’s exterior is a picture-perfect alpine chalet – with a mahogany facade and neighbouring spikey fir trees, the decor inside is completely contemporary. Rooms feature red and mustard striped carpets, warm nutmeg-hued walls and modern slick dark furniture. Chic white bedding is also decorated with red throws and pillows to complement the vibrant colour palette. If you’re travelling with a baby, you can also take advantage of the Club Med Baby Welcome kit, which features a changing table, a bottle warmer, a baby cot and pushchair too – perfect for families on tour.

Other facilities
Ski enthusiasts will feel right at home here. Join in with group ski lessons, whether that’s on the beginner bunny slopes or the more challenging, slaloming trails. If you want to perfect your technique, opt for private lessons (available at an extra cost). There are also thrilling snowboarding lessons and snowshoe hikes on offer. Before taking to the slopes, visit the on-site ski pro shop to get expert advice and well-fitting equipment (for an additional cost). There is also an equipped ski room for boots and skis and a corner with hot drinks and buttery pastries. For ease, this area is also where you access the nearest ski lift.
The resort also boasts two refreshing pools on site. Families will love the indoor freshwater infinity pool –which extends into the outdoors for cinematic mountain views, while little ones can make a splash at the indoor paddling pool. Fun-filled swimming lessons, where kids can master techniques, like backstroke and breaststroke are also available (from five years old and up, at an extra charge).
Fitness enthusiasts are also spoiled with a fully equipped gym including treadmills, cross trainers and free weights. Plus, the Club Med Spa by Sothys is guaranteed to be a winner for self-care enthusiasts. Bask in the soothingly warm steam room or chill out in the relaxation area, which offers complimentary tea and has an outdoor terrace. You can also treat yourself to a facial or massage to unwind after a busy day on the pistes.
Meanwhile, children aged between 2 and 17 can dive, skis first, into the fun at the kids’ club. Children aged four or above can show off at the group skiing and snowboarding lessons or the whole family can take part in guided bike rides, postcard-pretty nature walks, treasure hunts and flip-obsessed pancake parties. Younger guests can still have their share of the fun with arts and crafts and sensory activities. Plus, teens can get stuck into the outdoor Olympics tournaments or chill out with video games.
Dining information
There are two restaurants, one bar and one coffee shop on offer. Visit the chalet-style main restaurant La Vanoise to enjoy all-day dining, either indoors or on the outdoor terrace when the sun is shining. Sample Savoyard favourites like sizzling Pierrade meats, or head to the baby corner with its high chairs and bottle warmers so you can dine with the entire family at ease. To top it off, kids will feel like VIPs with their dedicated menu, offering up fail-safe dishes like tomato pasta and specially crafted mini mocktails with plenty of sweet factor.
Once the dark blanket of sky covers the mountains, retreat to the suave bistro La Pierra Menta. Dine by the fireplace in a plush armchair or relax on the outdoor terrace with some ultra-indulgent fondue and a portion of Tarentaise Valley views. Don’t miss a sip or two of the white wines on offer or savour some of the region’s local beers.
For more tempting tipples, L’Aiguille Grive serves the full works – from cocktails to canapes and delicious juices. Tea and coffee are also brewing here, or if the night is still young, you can hit the bar’s dance floor, which is the perfect apres ski. Meanwhile, the on-site coffee shop has a selection of pastries and warming coffees during the day.
