Family run for over 100 years; the Ommaroo Hotel has British charm in abundance. Expect a warm welcome and home from home service that’s individually tailored to you. Its prime beachfront location is within easy reach of the unique seawater lido and the delights of St Helier. Admire bay views and play board games in the lounge, savour gastronomic treats in the restaurant and take a stroll around the beautifully-maintained gardens – which also house a small seasonal swimming pool.
The hotel is situated in Jersey’s Havre de Pas. Just opposite you’ll find the beach and The Lido – a large bathing pool which fills up with seawater at high tide. The centre of St Helier is under one mile away which you can access by foot, taxi, or bus – Havre de Pas bus stop is less than 100 metres from the hotel’s entrance. Keen golfers will find many courses on the island, the closest two being Longueville Golf Range and St Clements Golf & Sports Centre, which are around a mile from the hotel. Jersey Airport is approximately six miles away.
Originally Victorian terraced houses, the building has been lovingly restored. In older parts, you’ll find original Victorian features including high ceilings, fireplaces and bay windows. The rooms are decorated with fresh and light colours, to make the most of the coastal light. Seaview Rooms are a particular favourite, though you may experience some road noise, particularly at peak times. Family Rooms can accommodate up to two adults, three children and an infant with extra beds – which may include bunk beds.
