Located in Halkidiki, the curved resort hugs the rocky waters’ edge, while tree-topped hills provide a serene backdrop. The resort is comprised of multiple curved buildings, clad in varying shades of stone, giving the resort an organic feel. The main pool has a palm-topped central island, and a bridge to shallow area with water fountains, suitable for children. A second pool is dotted with floating palm trees and overlooks the Blue Flag Miraggio Marina.

Myrthia Thermal Spa is a haven for healing, centred around a large thalassotherapy pool, which utilises heated sea water and the mineral rich spring water from the natural surroundings. It also connects to an outdoor infinity pool with sea views. The spa features a steam room, Finnish and herbal saunas, cold plunge pool and relaxation area, as well as a hair and nail salon. You can even indulge in a facial with products from celebrity facialist Barbara Sturm. A modern fitness centre can also be found at the spa; and hiking, Pilates, pool games, aqua fitness and yoga classes operate elsewhere around the resort. Onsite shops sell various goods, from food and personal items to olive wood souvenirs and handmade jewellery.

There’s plenty to assist children’s pursuit for escape, too. Kids’ Planet at Miraggio occupies a six acres spot, featuring Madagascar and Ice Age-themed animation, a splash park and a café, serving firm favourites such as waffles and pizza. The huge range of entertainment for children ages five to 12 includes a dinosaur band, mini discos, a cinema, comedy shows, Olympic-themed games and video games, all supervised by experienced professionals.

Not your average buffet restaurant, Kritamo serves a varied menu for breakfast and dinner, with organic fruits, smoothies, local Greek yoghurts and gluten-free items available in the ‘Healthy Corner.’ For a la carte dining, Portofino offers an Italian-inspired dinner menu, with wood-fired pizzas and handmade gelatos, while Toroneo serves fresh Greek seafood. Sommelier 8 is host to an impressive collection of Greek wine, perfectly paired with meat dishes. A sushi bar, poolside restaurant, pool bar, beach bar, lobby bar and a ‘health bar’ at the spa complete the generous food and beverage offering.
