The Alameda Botanical Gardens are two miles south, offering a peaceful green space filled with exotic plants, while the Upper Rock Nature Reserve is three miles south-east, home to dramatic viewpoints, fascinating wildlife and Gibraltar’s famous macaque monkeys. For a change of scenery, several renowned golf courses in southern Spain, including Club de Golf Valderrama and Real Club de Golf Sotogrande, are within 30 miles. The hotel is just one mile from Gibraltar International Airport, so while transfers are quick and convenient, you may experience some aircraft noise during your stay.

Dining information

Sunborn Gibraltar offers two tempting restaurants to choose from, the Barbary and Gastrobar. Flagship eatery the Barbary, on the top deck, is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, serving international cuisine inspired by the flavours and spices of the Barbary coast, alongside British classics.

The more informal Gastrobar opens in the evenings, with a menu of British-Mediterranean cuisine. On balmy nights, dine under the stars on the back terrace, the perfect spot for a romantic dinner for two. DJs and live music also feature on selected evenings.

Three bars offer a choice of settings for drinks throughout the day and evening. Barbary Bar serves all your favourite drinks, while Sapphire Bar provides a glamorous setting for a pre-dinner drink or high tea. On the top deck, Aqua Bar provides a poolside setting for drinks. Come nightfall, candles and lamps cast flickering reflections across the pool, creating a cosy atmosphere for an early evening drink. Linger a little longer during Happy Hour.

Half Board includes a limited a la carte menu, with water and coffee or tea included. Menus are subject to change at the Executive Chef’s discretion, and Half Board is available at either restaurant.
