Get kitted out at the ski pro shop and then hop on the ski lifts to the hotel’s ski room. This space lets you get ready for a day on the slopes. It also hosts a cosy corner with tea and hot chocolate – perfect for defrosting after your downhill adventures.

The indoor pool with large windows showing off the alpine views offers plenty of respite. Next door, you will find a children’s paddling pool. In the summer, there is an outdoor pool with mountain views and aquadynamic classes. For blissful relaxation, retreat to the Club Med Spa by Payot. Unwind in the steam room, treat yourself to a massage after skiing, or opt for a luxurious facial designed by Nadia Payot – the founder of facial gymnastics.

If you’re after more energetic pursuits, the gym has treadmills and cross trainers or join in with a Pilates or High Intensity Training class. In the summer, tennis and volleyball is on offer, and the mini football is the perfect excuse to get the family together for a game or two.

Thanks to the kids’ club, younger guests are well catered for. Babies have mesmerising sensory activities and musical games, toddlers can partake in arts and crafts and plays, and families can indulge at the pancake parties or unleash their competitive spirits at the treasure hunts. To top it off, group skiing lessons are generously part of the kids’ club, as are snowboarding lessons. They can also join yoga and dance activities, and teens can chill out with books and video games.

Dining information

Open all day, Le Vauban serves international dishes and local favourites. Choose from top-notch grilled vegetable medleys or sample the region’s famous Raclette. If you’re dining with little ones, cheesy pasta and spaghetti bolognese on the menu cater to even the fussiest of eaters, while the baby corner makes mealtimes a breeze with a microwave, fridge and blender. Once a dark sky settles against the mountain peaks, head to La Meije. Here you can tuck into Savoyard specialities, like wild garlic fondue – or opt for a charcuterie board, which pairs perfectly with a white wine.

For a range of refreshments, L’Izoard is the place to be with its warm teas and coffees served tastefully against a dreamy alpine backdrop. Fresh juices and Mini Club Med+ mocktails are also on offer here for the tots and teens, while cocktails and wines top the menu for the adults’ all-important apres ski tradition.
