Overview

C Mauritius is a cool, all-inclusive resort, set on a pristine beach on the east coast of Mauritius. This playful place is made for the young-at-heart, and features colourful locally-crafted décor, three swimming pools – one with swings overlooking the sea, and friendly, personal service. You’ll also find an all-natural spa, access to two 18-hole championship golf courses at Constance Belle Mare Plage and a handful of great restaurants.

The resort is ideally situated on the Palmar Coast on the eastern side of Mauritius. It’s positioned on a stunning stretch of beach, in a shallow bay with a reef break beyond, overlooking the idyllic lagoon of Palmar. It’s 25 miles from the capital city of Port Louis and 28.5 miles from Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Airport. Plus, the resort is within easy reach of many local points of interest including Pamplemousses Botanical Garden and Caudan Waterfront.

Your stay immediately gets off to a fun start with welcome drinks courtesy of the resort’s ‘mad scientist concoctor machine’ – choose your mix and sip from a conical flask. There are three pools here, one of which has sunken sunbeds by the bar, another is infinity-style, elevated above the beach, and the other has pair of swings looking out to the ocean and an outdoor, musical jellyfish shower.

Head to the beach for an overwater trampoline and non-motorised water sports, such as kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, snorkelling and wind surfing – an activity the breezy east coast is known for. The hotel also holds diving initiation classes at the pool, while certified divers will want to take the complimentary transfer to Constance Belle Mare Plage for more advanced diving. C Mauritius also offers a transfer service at a charge, to and from two 18-hole golf courses located near Constance Belle Mare Plage, Legend Course and Links Course. Facilities at the Links Club House include a driving range, restaurant, bar, pro-shop, changing rooms and equipment rental.

After a day of golfing or playing on the water, recharge at the C Spa with a fabulous treatment using only natural products. The spa also has a steam room and sauna, fitness facilities and an indoor gym, each housed in their own single-floor building, dotted around the manicured gardens.

Dining information

The Dining Room serves a quality international buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Wok ’N Roll is a more intimate a la carte restaurant with only 22 seats serving Asian cuisine, including fresh sushi and dim sum, overlooking the beach (reservations required). For when you don’t want to leave the beach, Beach Bistro is for you, where drinks are served with your feet in the sand. Behind Beach Bistro, beside the elevated pool you’ll find sundowners, relaxed bean bag seating strewn around, and lively music. At the heart of the resort, CPICERIE is a deli style outlet, serving hand-picked, speciality food and beverages; fresh, healthy and delicious. Pancakes, ice-cream and cakes are also served at teatime. Retail items such as spices, honey and other delicacies are available here, too. You can even borrow a picnic mat and take a selection of CPICERIE’s items on a beach picnic. Evening entertainment can be found at the outdoor dancefloor ‘Sessions by the C’ and more than 50 international varieties of wine can be found at the Cellar.
