Set on a peaceful stretch of Punta Cana's coastline, Moon Palace The Grand strikes the right balance between seclusion and convenience. Spend a day on the golden sands of nearby Macao Beach, or swing by the beach clubs of Bavaro, which are six miles away. Iberostar Bavaro Golf Club and Punta Blanca Golf Club are both within five miles, for those wanting more tee time. If you're craving a change of pace, the freshwater lagoons and nature trails of the Indigenous Eyes Ecological Reserve are 22 miles away. Punta Cana International Airport is 18 miles from the resort.

Light-filled and quietly coastal, rooms and suites feature soft neutral shades and organic textures. Elsewhere, the expansive O Spa is a destination in itself, where a hydrotherapy circuit moves between aromatic steam rooms, invigorating showers and warm vitality pools. Add in signature treatments, a beauty salon, barbershop and juice bar, and it's easy to linger.

If you like to keep busy, you'll be spoilt for choice. Tee off on the Greg Norman-designed, 18-hole championship golf course, join in with daily sports or take the action poolside and onto the beach. Families can up the tempo together at the water park, with slides and a FlowRider wave simulator to tackle, before slowing things down with a lap of the lazy river.

Little ones can let their imaginations run wild at the pirate-themed playroom, where supervised games and creative sessions are designed with younger guests in mind. Meanwhile, you'll find Wired! serves up arcade games and gaming consoles for older children and teens, with space to socialise between sessions. The Dreamery adds even more family fun with games, activities, snacks and drinks throughout the day.

Dining information

Dining is a highlight in its own right, with over 16 eateries to choose from. Tuck into traditional Mexican favourites and an impressive tequila selection at La Cantina, feast on smoky barbecue classics at Fuego, or watch grilled meats carved tableside at Brazilian rodizio Carvao. European flavours include the Parisian-inspired Le Jiraf, Italian trattoria Tavola and Nikos by Athinagoras Kostakos, serving contemporary Greek dishes. Other options include mezze and regional specialities at Habibi, sushi and izakaya favourites at Jade, fragrant Indian cuisine at Agra, or dinner with a show at Teppan by Momo.

For something more casual, Camino Street brings together six global street food stations, Joe's Deck serves fresh seafood just steps from the beach, and The Grand Buffet offers an extensive international spread for breakfast and lunch.

You’ll find freshly roasted coffee and sweet treats served at Nativo Casa de Tueste and the 24-hour Boulangerie. Meanwhile, League's sports bar, the sleek 19th Hole golf lounge and the Ninth Pin bowling bar all set a livelier scene and the resort’s poolside Snack Bar serves refreshments throughout the day.

Additional information

Please be aware that some of the resort’s facilities are yet to open. Madre Mia restaurant and Wonderwoods are scheduled to open from 31 August 2026. Further facilities are scheduled to open from 1 December 2026, including the tennis courts, casino, outdoor children’s playgrounds, alongside JC Steak House, Waikiki, Speakeasy bar, Joe’s Deck, Madre Mia Beach Club and Fuego Restaurant.
