The resort possesses three world-class golf courses with rolling green hills and spectacular Caribbean Sea views. Designed by the legendary Pete Dye, the courses include the acclaimed Teeth of the Dog course, Dye Fore and The Links. Practice your swing with leading golf instructors or use the TrackMan Simulator.
Other facilities include an Equestrian centre that offers horseback riding and polo fields, and a tennis centre with 13 Har-Tru tennis courts. You can participate in non-motorised water sports on the beach (such as kayaking and sailing), shop around the marina, or perfect your aim at the clay pigeon shooting centre.
You can head to the intimate spa for a holistic treatment; and book yoga and Zumba classes here. Otherwise, explore the quaint streets of Altos de Chavon – the resort’s Mediterranean-style village – with its unique restaurants, craft shops and small archaeological museum. The resort also presents a movie theatre with three cinemas and a Grecian-style amphitheatre, which seats up to 5000 people.
There are also several kids’ clubs that appeal to different age groups. The toddlers’ club is for children between the ages of one and three years old, offering a supervised playground, arts and crafts tables, puppet shows and more. The La Vecindad Casa de Campo early education programme provides a fun and safe learning environment for preschool children. Older children can take part in a variety of organised activities such as treasure hunts, swimming lessons, pony rides and tennis matches, and there’s a full activity programme for teenagers, too. The Bonche 4 Teens zone features a billiard table, air hockey table, movie screenings and more. Additionally, the exciting Real Madrid Soccer Camp is bookable for a supplement.
Sun loungers adorn the soft white sand of Minitas Beach, and the Minitas Beach Club promises a relaxing atmosphere with exceptional waiter service. The club is home to an oceanfront restaurant, a massage pavilion and three pristine swimming pools – including a fabulous infinity pool with Caribbean Sea views. Enjoy the tranquillity of the adult-only area or splash around in the family-friendly pool. In addition to the pools at the Minitas Beach Club, there are two other pool areas within the resort.
Discover an outstanding variety of dining options within the Casa de Campo Resort. Lago Restaurant serves a buffet spread for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and offers spectacular views over the Teeth of the Dog golf course. Immersed in a tropical beachfront setting, the chic Minitas Beach Club & Restaurant offers breakfast on the weekends, in addition to daily lunches and dinners (all for an additional cost). Their menu includes speciality house cocktails and light, casual fare such as burgers, pasta dishes, pizzas and flatbreads.
La Cana is a seasonal dinner restaurant, serving French-inspired fare in a sophisticated setting. If you’re looking for something lighter, head to the Brasa Food Truck for tasty street food bites, or the Massa Food Truck for fresh woodfire pizzas and flatbreads.
When you’re in Altos de Chavón, don’t miss the colourful Chilango Taqueria which specialises Mexican street food. La Piazatta is also nearby, offering a romantic atmosphere and traditionally prepared Italian cuisine – including a choice of handmade pastas.
In the evenings, dine al fresco at La Casita, eyeing the luxury yachts around the marina. Its Spanish-themed menu features a tempting selection of fresh local seafood and paella dishes. Alternatively, there's the marina's unique Pubbelly Sushi tavern that opens for lunch and dinner. SBG is another elegant marina venue, available for a supplement charge. Here you will discover Mediterranean flair and occasional DJ sets or live band performances. You can also indulge in Peruvian cuisine at CAUSA, located in the marina, featuring the three main culinary styles of Peruvian food - Criollo, Nikkei and Chifa.
Several bars a dotted throughout the resort, including the marina, beach, pools, tennis centre and golf courses. There’s also a vibrant nightclub.
Room service for hotel rooms and resort villa homes is available 24-hours a day, seven days a week (subject to a delivery charge).
The dress code is mostly casual, but swimsuits should not be worn when dining. The dress code in the La Caña and La Piazzetta restaurants is ‘casual elegance’ and requests that gentlemen wear collared shirts and long trousers.
In response to Coronavirus (COVID-19) there will be thermal temperature screening procedures in place and you will be required to wear a face mask in all public areas. Cashless transactions will be encouraged throughout the property. Reservations will be required in all restaurants and all buffet and self-serve stations will be replaced with a la carte dining or a staff-managed service. A maximum of six guests can be seated at a table in restaurants.
The beach and pool areas have a reduced capacity and the number of chaise lounges and umbrellas will be limited and monitored. Beach towels will be placed in your room prior to arrival and will no longer be provided at the beach or in the pool areas. Golfers will be required to carry their own bags and clubs and limit any contact from the caddies touching their equipment. Tennis players must provide and use their own equipment. The loan of towels, rackets and balls will be suspended, and water dispensers will be removed from the courts.
Room change requests are limited and cannot be made upon check-in. All in-room collateral, such as pens, paper, magazines and newspapers have been removed and will be available on request.
