The hotel sits on the north coast of Crete, fringing Anissaras Beach. This Blue Flag stretch of sand and shingle is praised for its calm waters and snorkelling spots. If you’re hoping to venture out, lively Herssonisos is three miles from the hotel. Home to bars, clubs, restaurants, a mall and a sun-soaked, yacht-filed harbour. Heraklion International Airport is 14 miles away.
Rooms are spread across several buildings, dotted around the large grounds. There are varying levels, so expect some steps and slopes. Decor is bright, white and airy, giving a distinctly Greek feel. They all come with garden views – although an upgrade to a sea view room is highly recommended. Standard amenities include a TV, coffee and tea making facilities and a furnished balcony. This varied buffet restaurant displays mouthwatering spreads of Cretan and Mediterranean cuisine – best enjoyed on the sea facing outdoor terrace. Fill your plate with fresh salad, colourful fruits and tempting desserts or head to the show cooking counters for something made to order. An early breakfast and late-night buffet are also served here.
With comfy seats and gorgeous sea views, Thalassa Restaurant sits by the beach. Enjoy sizzling seafood and Greek salads for lunch and dinner. You can also stop here for beachside drinks and snacks throughout the day. For a more formal dinner, peruse the menu of gourmet Mediterranean and international dishes at Taverna La Pergola. Please note, a reservation is required for the a la carte restaurants and each restaurant can only be booked once per stay.
