Hyatt Ziva Corfu lies in the pleasant Gouvia village on the scenic east coast of Corfu. The well-kept grounds lead to a stretch of golden beach with warm shallow waters, ideal for swimming and water sports. The village is home to a marina, traditional tavernas and lively bars. To further explore, head to the bus stop less than 200 metres from the hotel to reach Corfu Town and Dassia. It’s well worth exploring the capital’s UNESCO-protected old town and Venetian buildings, just over five miles away. Corfu International Airport is slightly further, around six miles from the hotel.
All rooms, suites and bungalows are tastefully decorated in warm neutral tones. They feature contemporary wooden furnishings, white walls and tiled floors. Bathrooms contain a shower, and rooms lead to a private terrace or balcony with garden or sea views. You can admire the outstanding natural beauty of Gouvia Bay from the main freshwater pool. Situated close to the beach, this beautifully landscaped area is enhanced by the lush flora and spectacular sea views. There’s also a family pool nearby for little ones to enjoy, as well as an additional pool exclusively for those staying in Preferred Club accommodation. On the beach, two floating waterparks add to the fun (subject to seasonality and the operational schedule) – one is designed for children under 10 years old with gentle slides and inflatable play features, while the other offers larger obstacles for older children and adults.
The entertainment team organise a wide range of activities such as aqua gym, water polo, darts and table tennis. You can also join yoga, stretching, Pilates, Zumba, breathing and resistance band fitness classes, or make use of the gym and multicourt for mini football, basketball and volleyball. Or you can just relax in the spa. Children are well catered for, too, with the Explorer’s Club for those between 4 and 12 years of age and the Core Zone Club for teenagers. As evening falls, enjoy live music performances, cinema screenings, live shows and themed parties.
Dining information
The main buffet-style restaurant, World Cafe, provides a buffet breakfast, lunch, and dinner serving a variety of local and international cuisines, in addition to special themed nights and live cooking shows. For lunch, head to Oceana for seafood, or to the Italian-inspired La Trattoria. In the evenings, savour a la carte meals at Yiayia, serving Greek cuisine, or Sea Side Grill, offering grilled seafood. There are eight bars in total which include Barefoot Grill Bar, Mermaid Pool Bar and Coco Café, each serving a variety of snacks when hunger strikes, as well as the Preferred Club Lounge, exclusively open to those staying in a Preferred Club room. You’ll also find the Rendezvous Lobby Bar, swim-up Manatees Bar, Sugar Reef Beach Bar and Showtime Theatre Bar.
