If you’re looking for a stylish hotel in the heart of the city, Villa Copenhagen is an ideal choice. Set in the former 1912 headquarters of the Central Post and Telegraph, this historic hotel blends grand heritage with minimalist design. Start your day with a generous breakfast buffet and fresh cinnamon pastries. Enjoy the rooftop pool, sauna and fitness centre, then in the evening sip an Old Fashioned at one of two hotel bars.
Villa Copenhagen is located right next to Central Station, a convenient location for exploring the city’s attractions and further afield – including regular connections to Malmo in Sweden. Head 200 metres to Tivoli Gardens and enjoy the quaint carousel or admire the rust-hued City Hall building, which is half a mile north. Also, half a mile away, you will find the National Museum and Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek featuring Roman sculptures and Impressionist paintings by Manet – to name a few. Plus, the upscale shopping street Stroget and its Scandi chic boutiques are just one mile away. Don’t miss the colourful buildings and cosy canal-side cafes at Nyhavn, just two miles east of the hotel. Copenhagen International Airport is eight miles from the hotel.
Villa Copenhagen is housed in a historic building, which was once the Central Post and Telegraph Head Office. While classic charm pervades the facade, the interiors tell a different story with sleek Scandi vibes. As you enter the lobby, expect glossy floors and an impressive lattice skylight, as well as contemporary lights and plush sofas. The rooms complement this aesthetic with muted grey curtains and modern furniture. Plus, the bathrooms are decked out with grey tiles, black accents and rain showers for plenty of comfort.

Dining information
The Sorting Room is the perfect spot for breakfast with its beautiful high-ceiling and views overlooking the outdoor Sunken Garden. The restaurant takes its name from being the old post room. Enjoy a refreshing drink in the rooftop pool bar or gather in the Courtyard for a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. There are often pop-up activities, events, modern design, art, exhibitions and much more held here too.
The Wine Bar features the original marble and wooden floor, setting the mood for cocktails and appetisers in the historic building. The hotel is also located close to chic restaurants and bars at the Tivoli Food Hall and the nearby Meatpacking District.
