You’ll be well based to explore the island’s magical volcanic landscapes, including its black-sand beaches and natural, thermal mud springs. You can also visit the island’s famous crater at the Riserva Naturale Orientata Isola di Vulcano, around five miles away. The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle to the nearby centre of Vulcano Porto. From here, you can take the hydrofoil to the other Aeolian Islands, or to Sicily’s port of Milazzo, in around 45 minutes. Milazzo is around 90 miles from Catania Fontanarossa Airport and 143 miles from Palermo Airport.
