The boutique Hotel Indigo Bridgetown Barbados sits on the island’s south coast, within easy reach of two popular beaches. Its sophisticated scene has adult-only spaces – and is decorated with local artists’ murals and curated installations. The lobby level main pool comes with a petite bar, loungers, scalloped umbrellas, cabanas and an infinity edge overlooking the South Coast Boardwalk and coastline. Three restaurants, a lobby bar and a private rum room round out the facilities. Plus, all rooms come with private balconies, overlooking the ocean or pool.
Set on the Richard Haynes Boardwalk on the island's south coast, the hotel is close to plenty of beaches and sights. Step onto the hessian-hued sands at the hotel's beachfront or venture to the popular Browne’s Beach, known for its calm waters, just over a mile west of the hotel. The wide, gently sloped stretch of sand at Pebbles Beach is within a mile and a half of the property, while Rockley Beach is less than a mile in the opposite direction. Indulge in delicious island culture at the restaurants and bars of St. Lawrence Gap, just over two miles away – and swing by Oistins, well known for its Friday night fish fry, four miles away. The colonial architecture and harbour of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed capital, Bridgetown, are about two miles out, and Grantley Adams International Airport is approximately eight miles from the hotel.
The beach chic property is infused with creative design elements from Barbadian culture, including the rooms and suites. There are tropical pops of bold colours, but the light neutral colour scheme and natural textures keep the overall effect calming. Natural light from the large sliding glass doors makes the spaces feel extra roomy. Each room or suite comes with a work desk and a spa-inspired bathroom with a walk-in shower, as well as a furnished balcony that peers over the pool or the out to the ocean. They are also outfitted with a mini-fridge, coffee and tea making facilities, and complimentary bottled water. Designated adult-only rooms sit within the same area, and connecting rooms are available on request.
