One&Only Aesthesis - Athens

One&Only Aesthesis, the brand’s first Greek venture, evokes the feeling of a chic Greek island hideaway, though only 12 miles from central Athens. Packed with a glamourous, modern mid-century vibe, the resort offers three pools – one for adults and one for children, 1,600 metres of beachfront, stunning accommodation, most with private pools, tempting Mediterranean dining and Greece’s only Guerlain Spa.

This stylish resort is perched on the Athenian Riviera, between the Saronic Gulf and a protected forest. A short drive (less than two miles) will take you to the centre of Glyfada, where you’ll find shops and upscale boutiques at the open-air shopping centre on Metaxa Street, mixed with down-to-earth farmers markets and souvlaki eateries. Further afield, but still close by, Athens is 12 miles north, home to the iconic Acropolis and Parthenon, as well as Plaka, a neighbourhood of cobbled alleyways packed with local shops at the foothills of the Acropolis. Athens International Airport is just over 15 miles to the east.

A collection of rooms are located in the main building, while a broad choice of bungalows are dotted around the olive tree and bougainvillea filled resort, featuring their own private outdoor spaces and pools. Expect a modern twist on 1960s style, with plenty of natural textures including stone and rattan, and geometric patterned furnishings featuring Greek blue and white. Select a Seafront, Seaview or Garden View Bungalow for an al fresco living area with a hanging chair, firepit, pool and outdoor shower – upgrade to an Eran Bungalow for a corner position offering a larger outdoor area. Riviera Bungalows even offer direct access to the sea from a private deck, in addition to an outdoor area with a private pool. The Residences are the resort’s gem, offering two or three bedrooms, a dining area, kitchen and pool.
