Located in the upscale area of Akasaka, close to Shibuya and central Tokyo, the b akasaka is a convenient hotel for exploring some of the city’s best-known sights, without staying in the thick of it.

Often called a playground for Tokyo’s rich, Akasaka is a sophisticated area with plenty of restaurants and shops, as well as State Guest House Akasaka Palace – an official accommodation for visiting state dignitaries, partially open to the public for some of the year. The hotel is three quarters of a mile from Tokyo Midtown – a mini city within a city, packed with more shops and restaurants, plus museums and a park. It’s also just over two miles from Shibuya, known for its iconic scramble crossing – one of the world’s busiest pedestrian crossings – as well as fashion boutiques, nightclubs and a wide range of cool bars and restaurants. Central Tokyo is six miles away, accessible by Akasaka-Mitsuke Station, around half a mile away. Haneda Airport is 12 miles' distance.

Superior rooms are compact and simple, with white and terracotta walls, patterned carpet, a lime shelving unit and a small desk area. Petite bathrooms are sometimes separated from the sleeping area by frosted glass and feature lemon tiled walls, a walk-in shower cabin with body wash and shampoo dispensers and a Japanese-style toilet. As is often customary in Japan, the hotel provides nightwear.
