Set in the Maldives, the laidback Meeru Maldives Resort Island offers four restaurants, a range of accommodation, extensive water sports facilities, two tranquil spa locations and an optional all-inclusive package. Meeru Maldives Resort Island sits on an 80-acre island in the Maldives’ stunning North Male Atoll. The island’s sweeping white sandy beaches are lined with coconut palm trees, and the lagoon’s warm shallow waters are filled with incredible marine life. You can catch a free dhoni boat out to the house reef for snorkelling, or enjoy an endless array of water sports closer to the shore. The resort is around a 55-minute speedboat transfer from Male International Airport.

The rooms and villas are situated in the gardens, along the beachfront or on stilts above the Indian Ocean. They are decorated in tropical colours and feature a sitting area and private terrace. Most rooms include a semi-outdoor bathroom, apart from the standard Garden rooms, which are set in a U-shaped block in the tropical grounds. Beach Villas lie in classic wooden bungalows along the beachfront, as do Jacuzzi Beach villas, which boast an outdoor hot tub. Meanwhile, Water Front Villas are located close to the water’s edge, and the luxurious adult-only Jacuzzi Water Villas sit over the water with a private sun deck, Jacuzzi for two and steps that lead directly into the lagoon.
