The Emerald Maldives Resort & Spa is a new five-star, All Inclusive Resort, located on the Raa Atoll, in the northern part of the Maldives archipelago. The resort is a proud member of The Leading Hotels of the World featuring 120 luxurious villas, an abundance of facilities, Dolphin Kids’ Club and The Emerald Spa which offers a full range of spa services.
The resort is located on the island of Fasmendhoo in Raa Atoll, set on a mile-long stretch of the idyllic Bavaro Beach – on a lush, private 20-hectare island. Emerald Maldives Resort & Spa is reached via a 40-minute scenic seaplane journey from Malé, highlighting the beauty of the islands and the turquoise sea of the Maldives. As an alternative, a 30-minute domestic flight to Ifuru Domestic Airport is also available and a 25-minute speedboat ride will complete the journey to reach the resort.
The resort is made up of 120 villas, both on the beach and over water. Choose a beautifully appointed beach villa, perfect for honeymooners. Or a spacious Family Beach Villa with Pool, which features a master bedroom and kids’ bedroom with private bathroom, covered and open patios and a private swimming pool and garden. All villas have been built to harmoniously blend with the local environment, with carefully studied landscaping and perfectly crafted materials such as bamboo, natural stones and Langhi Langhi leaves. Each one features two flat satellite TVs, a king-size bed or an interconnecting room, walk-in and outdoor “under the stars” showers and a spacious bath able to accommodate two.

Facilities at the resort include a dive and water sports centre, a gym with Technogym equipment and the Emerald Spa – which offers a full range of spa services including relaxing massages with Thai and Indonesian massage therapists. There’s a relaxation area with Indonesian style pool, steam bath, sauna, nine air-conditioned treatment rooms and a beauty salon. Families will love the huge 1500 m2 kids’ club featuring a large splash play area, adventure playground and a great activity programme run by the childcare team. The complimentary kids’ club is available for children aged from 3 to 12 years old.
Dining information
Aqua is the main restaurant of the resort located on the beach, facing the clear turquoise ocean water offering indoor and outdoor dining facilities and a fully equipped bar. A lavish indoor buffet is available for breakfast, lunch and dinner with cooking stations individually dedicated to international cuisines from Mediterranean to Japanese, Italian, Chinese and vegetarian. Located on the main beach facing the clear water of the lagoon is the Beach Club Grill serving lunch and dinner based on a selection of fresh fish, seafood, meat and vegetables cooked on a stone grill to enrich the flavours of each dish. A pizza and pasta station features at the Beach Pool Bar. Amazònico focuses on original recipes and ingredients from Central and South America. With typical dishes from Brazilian to Mexican, Argentinian, Peruvian, and Chilean cuisine, guests can have a taste of quesadillas, beef ribs, enchiladas and Brazilian beef served from the skewers. Located in the central area of the resort, inside an authentic tropical forest, Le Asiatique serves Oriental culinary dishes including teppanyaki. Early birds can start their day at sunrise café, catch a sunrise over the turquoise lagoon with a fresh coconut water in hand.
