Overview

Barcelo Margaritas Royal level is a distinguished hotel within the resort, providing a premium adult-only (16+) experience. The hotel is located in the south of Gran Canaria, in the tourist area of Playa del Ingles – with many restaurants, shops and nightlife just a short stroll away. Playa del Inglés beach in located less than a mile away and the free shuttle takes around ten-minutes or you can take a leisuerly 30 minute walk. Gran Canaria Airport is 20 miles away and the capital city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is 36 miles way. Visit Yumbo Centre, which boasts over 200 shops or stop at the cosy cafes and market at Centro Comercial San Fernando, which is 700 metres away. Nature Canariensis Botanical Gardens, Wild West Theme Park and Sioux City Park are all nearby fun attractions. Enjoy the areas impressive Dunes at Maspalomas – you’ll feel like you’re in a desert film set as you cross the yellow sands. Local art museum Casa Saturninita features architecture and photography and is well worth a visit. Maspalomas Golf Course is one and a half miles away for golf enthusiasts too. Barcelo Margaritas sits amongst tropical gardens.

Take a dip in the impressive Royal Level pool, exclusively for adults, or lounge on the terrace lined with parasols and sunbeds. Head to the private adult-only solarium to soak up the Spanish sunshine, drink in hand. The wider resort also has two additional pools, one which hosts activities such as water polo and aqua gym. You'll also have access to the CrossFit area, perfect for keeping active – with areas devoted to weight training, with bars, rings and Wall Balls. Or there's a boxing zone, parallel bars, Muscle Ups bars, trawling, wall balls and functional rope drills too. You can also enjoy a workout with a personal trainer. The gym has exercise bikes, running machines, a rower and weight machines too.

Dining information

The La Palapa buffet restaurant is open exclusively to guests of the Barcelo Margaritas Royal Level Adults Only hotel. Hot and cold food stations serve up a decadent spread of international and Spanish-inspired dishes. Modern in design and outfitted with plenty of seating, this venue creates the perfect culinary experience day or night.

You'll also have access to the wider Barcelo Margaritas Royal Level eateries. You can choose to dine at the Tamarant buffet restaurant, or you can head across to the main buffet restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner, where there's show-cooking and theme nights a couple of times a week. Offerings include pizza, pasta and large breakfasts. The two pool bars, Breeze and Ambra, serve drinks, as well as a selection of light bites – ranging from sandwiches to ice cream.
