The facilities here are impressive. Not only do you have access to 1.2 miles of private, sandy beach (the longest in Dubai), the resort is also home to two glistening outdoor pools, a children’s pool and a breathtaking rooftop infinity pool on the 22nd floor – suspended 90 metres above ground level. With views of Dubai’s city skyline on one side and the Arabian Gulf on the other, it’s not for the faint hearted. The daily limit at the sky pool is 140 people, so comfy cabanas are plentiful.
Entrance to the world’s largest water park, Aquaventure, is complimentary. The entire family can enjoy a total of 105 slides and attractions including the action-packed 48-metre tall Trident Tower, old favourites like the Leap of Faith and the adrenaline-pumping zip-line ride across the park. The Lost Chamber’s Aquarium and Dolphin Bay, by their very nature, include marine animal exhibits. Little ones will love the Splashers Kids' Play Area, a maze of kid-friendly tunnels, tubes, slides and climbing frames. In resort, children aged between 4 and 12 are welcomed at the Atlantis Explorers Club. Morning, afternoon and evening sessions offer a supervised, age-appropriate activity programme with a focus on adventure, fun and education through group play.
Exclusive to Atlantis resorts is Awaken Wellness, 5,000 metres dedicated to wellbeing, fitness, spa, regenerative medicine, aesthetics and personal styling. This luxurious haven features 17 treatment rooms, an outdoor pool and meditation pavilion, Hammam Sensorium and personal styling salons. Treatments include massage, energy therapies and facials, as well as unique hammam experiences – treating the body to black soap and kessa glove exfoliation, a grounding rhassoul wrap, golden argan scalp massage and full body hot Royal Oil massage.
The state-of-the-art fitness centre is equipped with Technogym and Outrace, a fitness studio for classes, a mindfulness pavilion and meditation garden and 25-metre lap pool. Alkemy Woman, Man and Nail Bar will have you looking your very best, while AEON Clinic is Dubai’s newest centre for life changing treatments, that will boost your health and enhance your way of living.
Outside is the Skyblaze Fountain, an attraction in itself, rising 28 metres into the air. Every evening, a dramatic fire-meets-water show is conducted, inspired by the elements, complemented by music written exclusively by the Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer.
Whatever your length of stay, dining at Atlantis The Royal will be exceptional. Eight of the finest chefs have been selected from around the world to curate outstanding menus. Two Michelin-star chef José Andrés will showcase the rich, regional diversity of Spain, while Ling Ling by Hakkasan will serve as the property’s modern Pan-Asian concept.
Boasting 360-degree views of the Arabian Gulf and Dubai skyline, expect a culturally rich dining and late-night party experience. Chef Nobu Matsuhisa will debut his first daytime poolside and beach restaurant Nobu by the Beach, or take a seat at Ariana’s Persian Kitchen for a menu of Persian classics. Pioneer baker Mich Turner will bring Little Venice Cake Company to the hotel or head over to Malibu 90265 for a wholesome, family meal. It’s a West Coast inspired American diner, serving traditional Californian classics from their open kitchen. Inspired by a charming food market, Gastronomy features several live cooking stations, serving an array of fresh, farm to table cuisine from around the world. Whereas pastry chef Christophe Devoille offers a menu of all-day light snacks as well as a luxurious afternoon tea.
The jewel in the crown is the hotel’s rooftop venue, Cloud 22. In the sky, on the 22nd floor, it features VIP cabanas and private plunge pools, a swim-up bar and head-shaped DJ booth.
