Overview

Blue Orchids Beach Hotel is set amidst tropical landscaped gardens and the Caribbean Sea in Barbados. Family-run, it welcomes guests with a friendly atmosphere and personal service. Despite the hotel’s smaller size, it offers a range of amenities which are shared with the neighbouring, sister property – Coral Mist Beach Hotel. You can enjoy two swimming pools, an oceanfront restaurant and a variety of complimentary, non-motorised water sports during your stay.

The hotel enjoys a prime location along Worthing Beach and a main coastal road. It’s close to popular bars and restaurants. The vibrant St Lawrence Gap, which is the island’s centre of nightlife and entertainment, is only a mile away. You can also visit Oistins, which is three miles away, to sample the renowned Friday night ‘Fish Fry’. The journey from the hotel to Grantley Adams International Airport is around eight miles.

All apartments are decorated with simple tiled flooring and bold Caribbean prints and colours. Although basic, they are spacious and comfortable, offering a kitchenette and private terrace or balcony with Caribbean Sea views. Each hotel has a separate reception desk; but shared facilities include a small fitness centre, a souvenir shop, a relaxing lounge area, and an exchange library for guests to swap books. Spend time around one of two swimming pools, both of which are bordered by attractive tropical foliage. You can also hang out in the games room, which is outfitted with a pool table, board games, darts board and more. If you’re feeling energetic, playing lawn croquet, beach volleyball or beach cricket. The basic water sports centre is also down on the beach, offering activities such as kayaking and boogie boarding. The beach itself is a lovely stretch of fine white sand, dotted with ample lounge chairs and umbrellas.
