Al Shalal Pool is the resort’s main pool, overlooking azure waters and flanked by the pool bar. Centrally located, this pool is divided into two sections – one of which enjoys zero entry access. Heated in the winter months, the Sultana Pool features its own bar, entertainment stage and shaded area. Also heated during winter are the Rock and North 38 pools. Head to the Rock Pool for a jam-packed activities roster and poolside fun, with table tennis and darts. You’ll also find a second pool bar here and a kids’ swimming area and waterslide. Fringed by private cabanas and an impressive open-air Jacuzzi, North 38 is the adult-only pool (for 14 years and above), featuring its own chic swim-up bar. This pool is surrounded by the resort’s Premium Suites.
Once you’ve had your fill poolside, make your way to the warm sands of the private beach. You’ll find a relaxed beach club feel on one side, with the water sports centre, massage area, beach bar and tunes – reserve a private beach cabana for added luxury. The other end is for those looking to relax with the soothing sounds of the waves. There’s a second beach bar here, as well as the resort’s fully equipped diving centre and beautiful house reef – where pros and beginners alike can enjoy training programmes and guided sessions.
The resort offers a full range of sports including family-friendly fitness games, mini-golf, volleyball, football, basketball and badminton. Get moving, both in and out of the pool, with aerobics, water pool, guided dance lessons or yoga-style stretching. In the spa you’ll find a complimentary fitness room equipped with resistance and cardiovascular machines, free weights and a stretching space.
Retreat to the tranquil Elysium Spa and pamper yourself with a relaxing massage or a session in the steam room. Signature treatments include hot stone massages, reflexology and body therapy. Opt for a spa day or couples’ package to unwind in the Moroccan Hamam post-treatment. Or try a new look with the hairdressing, beauty and henna services also available.
Little ones can enjoy the beach playground, swings, a jungle gym and slides. The Sultan Gardens’ Magic Carpet Club is the kids’ club for children aged 4 to 12. A dedicated schedule of daily activities includes arts and crafts workshops and group board games, as well as games played on the junior-sized football and basketball courts. There are video games and plenty of toys here, too.

Linah is the main dining room for breakfast, lunch and dinner – serving up a menu of international-style fare. Sleek marble interiors create an elegant feel and sensational live cooking stations make for dinner and a show. Adjoining sister restaurant Dana affords all the same dining luxuries, just in a more intimate space for adults. Dine at Casa Mia for classic Italian cuisine. The menu shines with its decadent antipasti buffet spread and wine list. Order homemade pasta dishes or grab a slice of gourmet pizza. Rihana Pizzeria also serves delicious baked-to-order pizzas. Savour the flavours of New Orleans at Fleur De Lis. Boasting a fabulous beachside location, this spot serves up classic Cajan cooking and sea views. The Zaytouna restaurant offers Middle Eastern cuisine, while House of Spice presents fresh and authentic Indian fare. Captain Crepe is the perfect spot for sweet treats – order handmade crepes and hot donuts here.
The Sultana Pool Bar serves local spirits and light bites by day. After sunset, this spot becomes a buzzing cafe-lounge. Open till late, you can catch seasonal live shows here and sip signature drinks. Or head to the all-day Al Shallal Pool Bar for tasty Middle Eastern snacks, late breakfasts and refreshments. Take to the sands for chilled drinks and comfort food at the Seaside Bar and Grill, where you can order hearty burgers, hot dogs and loaded fries. Or sample local spirits and beverages at Tiran Beach Bar. The sophisticated Al-Dar Lobby Bar is open 24-hours. Start your mornings here with fresh coffee and speciality teas or indulge in an evening nightcap. You’ll also find an extensive tea and coffee menu at the stylish Tea Lounge. The Lord’s Inn serves as a plush social space and teens aged 13 to 19 can hang out at the rooftop Oasis Youth Club. There’s a soft bar, large screen TVs, billiards and video game consoles here. Golden Club Discotheque is the resort’s vibrant nightclub and party spot.
