There are plenty of relaxing spaces dotted around the hotel grounds. A wooden decking area is the perfect spot to enjoy the sea breeze whilst sipping zingy cocktails and there are three individual swimming pools which are surrounded by vibrant-coloured loungers and modern cushioned chairs and tables. The main pool provides great ocean views, whilst another has its own bar. The spa pool is for adults only and is nestled in a charming landscaped area – cocooned by tropical plants and mini waterfalls. Friendly hotel staff will frequently offer complimentary treats such as refreshing ice lollies, sorbets or exotic fruits.

Although the exquisite beach has undergone some natural corrosion in recent years, there’s still plenty of space to sunbathe under the sprawling palm trees and to enjoy the safe crystal clear waters. There's also plenty of fun to be had at the Tamarind's dedicated Club Camp (for kids aged four and up), the Tamarind Teens Den, and in the Family Lounge – complete with table football, ping pong, TV, games and PCs. Dining information

Dining experiences at Tamarind are flexible, with a variety of choice available. Sugar Cane Room is an open-air restaurant which serves a substantial breakfast buffet that includes both waffle and egg stations – prepared just how you like it. Also find an assortment of breads, muffins and traditional breakfast choices as well as local delights such as pumpkin and corn fritters, flying fish and fried plantains. For fresh morning pours and light bites, head to Harvest & Hive Coffee Shop.

At 246 Bar & Restaurant, you can soak up idyllic ocean views. Open for lunch and dinner, this eatery offers a fresh fruit and vegetable bar, as well as a la carte dining with chef's specialties, themed evenings and live, poolside music on select evenings. The Caribbean Restaurant is your go-to for delicious dishes and a South Beach-style open-air lounge lined with umbrellas and plush seating for sips served just steps from the sand.

You’ll enjoy complimentary exchange dining at Crystal Cove, Treasure Beach, Waves Hotel & Spa and Turtle Beach. To book a meal at one of these sister resorts, simply contact the front desk at Tamarind to make a reservation. You can also dine at Colony Club and enjoy a discount on food and beverages. Theme nights may also incur a supplement. A complimentary water taxi operates between west coast hotels during daylight hours. In the evening, you must use a regular taxi service at your own expense. Please note, The House is excluded from the dine-around offer.
