Meanwhile, there is a children’s paddling pool surrounded by sun loungers and parasols. Little ones aged 4 to 12 will also love unleashing their energy at El Nido kids’ club. Activities like arts and crafts, cooking classes, guided stargazing and games and barbecues by the beach will keep them thoroughly entertained.

If active pursuits appeal, head to the on-site gym for a workout. Boasting a selection of equipment from treadmills to cross trainers, you can keep up with your fitness regime with ease.

Head to the main restaurant, Biniterra, for sea views and heaps of tantalising buffet dishes. Start the day at the breakfast buffet with pastries – like Mallorca’s native ensaimada, or tuck into some colourful fresh fruits. There are hearty delicatessen options too, which pair perfectly with crunchy breads and you can wash it all down with the selection of fruit juices or tea and coffee. Come dinnertime, this spot serves a buffet dinner with trademark Mediterranean favourites, like creamy pastas and the signature holiday dish – seafood paella.

If poolside vibes whet your appetite, chill out by the pool restaurant, where you can enjoy grilled meat, fish and veg, as well as snacks, desserts and salads along with refreshing drinks. The Opalo Lounge Bar by Andreu Genestra offers a similar vibe and whips up cocktails and wines alongside Mallorcan tapas and snacks. Once the twinkling stars take over the night sky, Opalo Restaurant by Andreu Genestra is the place to be for formal and sophisticated dining – boasting a private terrace. Please note, the kids’ club is available for ages 4 to 12 years and operates morning sessions from 11:00 to 13:00 and afternoon sessions from 15:00 to 17:00. It is closed for lunch time.
