Elba Sara Beach & Golf Resort is a family-friendly, beachfront property situated in Costa Caleta, on the east coast of Fuerteventura. It boasts a great kids’ club, two spacious pools and a separate kids’ pool, plus a good range of comfortable accommodation – including interconnecting rooms for families.
The location of the hotel is a big attraction. It borders the beautiful sandy La Guirra beach, which is lapped by calm, shallow waters – perfect for little ones. While at the beach, stroll along the wooden boardwalk to the Beach Club Chiringuito La Isla, which has its very own island and provides a perfect spot for lunch. Two 18-hole golf courses are within a two-mile radius, both providing breathtaking views across the ocean. Costa Caleta centre is less than a mile away, lined with shops, bars and restaurants, otherwise stop by Atlantico Shopping Centre which is home to a multiscreen cinema, bowling alley and plenty more shops and restaurants. The resort is a short five-mile hop to Fuerteventura Airport.
The property consists of several low-rise pastel pink buildings, which overlook the pool area and beach. Rooms are comfortable and spacious, all with a private balcony or terrace (most with sea views). Opt for interconnecting rooms if you are travelling as a family or a Prestige Double Deluxe room for added extras including a bottle of sparkling wine as a welcome gift, a Nespresso coffee machine with a welcome pack of capsules and a daily stocked minibar.

Other facilities
The resort surrounds two large lagoon style pools (one of which can be heated). There are plenty of sun loungers available on the terrace around the pools, some sunbeds are submerged in the pool for a totally chilled-out experience. Grown ups can chill out at the adult-only relaxation area with loungers and sea views. Younger ones are well catered for at the mini club for kids between 4 and 12 years old, plus there’s a children’s pool and a playground. Baby Kit by Elba can be booked in advance which includes cots, highchairs, baby baths, bottle warmers and microwaves for heating baby food (subject to availability).
There's a fully equipped gym and a multisport court for games of football, handball and basketball. The hotel is opposite a picturesque 18-hole golf course plus there’s spa facilities available at the neighbouring Sheraton Fuerteventura Hotel. A packed entertainment programme is provided throughout the day otherwise – catch a show in the large entertainment room, Broadway, or at the lobby, in the evening.
Dining information
Albatros is the main buffet restaurant offering a selection of international options for breakfast as well as specially prepared dishes at the show cooking stations. A rotated lunch and dinner menu is provided, including four themed dining events every week. You'll find Italian cuisine at La Nonna or enjoy Tex-Mex eats at Tucan Restauant (reservations required, charges apply). The Lobby Bar is open all day for drinks and snacks. Evening entertainment is held in the Broadway Room or the lobby where you can catch a show while enjoying a cocktail.
Half board or full board guests, staying seven nights or more, are entitled to one dinner served at Tucan (Tex-Mex) or La Nonna (Italian). Please note, drinks are not included for half board or full board guests.
