The resort lies on the south-east coast of the Dominican Republic, enjoying a blissful setting on a Blue Flag beach. You can easily explore the picturesque fishing village of Bayahibe on foot (around three miles away) or arrange a boat trip to take you to the breathtakingly beautiful Soana Island. Two championship golf courses are also less than 14 miles away: Dye Fore Golf Course and Teeth of the Dog Golf Course. A nearby motorway runs to Punta Cana International Airport, which is around 41 miles away from the resort.

The resort is set amidst stunning, tropical gardens and offers around 400 metres of white-sand beachfront. Spend your days chilling under swaying palm trees or snorkelling in crystal waters, around the pier. In between relaxing, take part in a range of fun activities, including beach volleyball, giant chess and water aerobics sessions. Kayaking is available (insurance is provided at an additional cost) while boat excursions and motorised water sports are available, all at a local charge. You can also experience diving (for a supplement) at ScubaCaribe, a PADI five-star dive centre which is located on the resort’s beach.
Further activities include ping-pong, while a fitness centre offers cardio equipment, free weights, strength machines and a Nordic track. There’s are a variety of dance classes for you to choose from – whether you fancy practising your salsa, merengue or bachata dance moves.
If your idea of a relaxing holiday is a little less action-packed, take your pick from one of two swimming pools. Alternatively, head to the luxurious spa which is home to a Swedish sauna, steam room and pressure showers. Choose from an indoor or ocean front massage or indulge in a hydro massage treatment. In the evenings, try your luck at the casino, watch big screen movies or enjoy live music and shows.
You can also access facilities at Dreams La Romana including a water park which incorporates tube slides and a lazy river.

For a pan-Asian feast, including bento boxes and sushi, head to Sakura, or visit Mare Grill & Restaurant for beachside gourmet seafood and grilled meats. It’s a lively offering by the beach, where your dishes are served as you watch an atmospheric show.
A handful of bars include Aroma Café, where snacks and coffee can be found, Soleil Swim-Up Bar, which serves refreshments and cocktails by the infinity pool, overlooking the sea, 18° 68°, offering top-shelf spirits and fine wines, and Scores Sports Bar. There’s also a Preferred Club Lounge Bar and the Blue Swim-Up Bar, both exclusively open to guests staying in Preferred Club accommodation.
